A very special place to stay.  We stayed two nights and wished we could have been there longer.  There is such a positive energy to Villa Nao which is attributed to the gorgeous setting, the beautifully decorated inn with authentic imports from Bali that give it such a unique, fresh, relaxing atmosphere, the spa features, the delicious food, and the gracious innkeepers, our hosts Dominque and Vincent.  What wonderful people as well as outstanding hosts who know how to attune to your every need. Our hosts were fluent in English and French (and possibly other languages as well!), but we felt completely at home and totally pampered during our stay at Villa Nao.  Will definitely return.

Highlight of our 3 week trip!

Beautiful site, hosts are discrete, polite and always there to help, the river is enchanting, 5 mins away, beautiful trail to run or bike!  Decor is awesome, perfect for a solo trip, you will have peace and intimacy!

Amazingly zen, relaxing

We stayed at Villa Nao for one night, treated ourselves to a dinner and massage. The meals were delicious and beautifully served. The massage could only have been better if they were longer. There is a short walk through the woods that was also refreshing. The hosts are lovely, the facilities are very zen.

A Lovely Stay

The best word to describe our stay at Villa Nao is: Magical. My lover and I were looking for a warm, quiet and intimate place to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and a friend advised me to take a look at this little inn after hearing a lot of good things. By the time we walked through the door, we knew we were going to have an unforgettable weekend. Dominique welcomed us as if we were longtime friends who came to spend a weekend at home. This is what I enjoyed the most about the Villa Noa concept : make yourself at home! I changed into my sweat pants on arrival and other than putting on my swimsuit to enjoy the spa facilities, I stayed in my sweat pants, all weekend long! Besides, it's great to feel comfortable enough to stay in your sweat pants all weekend long, because other than that it helps to relax, you'll need space in your pants because of all the great food you'll eat! Chef Émilie is a culinary magician, the dishes are super tasty and made with fresh ingredients from local producers. As a bonus, the portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable. Vincent provided an excellent service, hyper personalized and generous. We were looking forward to every meal to have a chance to chat with him.

The site offers an incredible view of the Black River and the forest. We were able to borrow snowshoes, free of charge, and enjoy the 60 cm of snow that Mother Nature had left for us in the week before our visit. Great experience, so peaceful! Also, the spa facilities are super comfortable and clean, and we rarely encountered any of the other couples staying at the inn, even though the site was a little more restricted in the winter given the snow.

The rooms are super comfortable, clean, and eclectically decorated with imported furniture and accessories from Bali which brings authenticity to the inn. Note that Villa Nao is a inn: You live in a room in a big spacious house with the other rooms near you. It is important that you manage your expectations on this point, if you wish to go unnoticed and not see or talk to other people during your stay, Villa Nao may not be the destination you are looking for.

In short, Villa Nao is an amazing place. After paying your bill at the time of your departure, do not surprise yourself if you feel the need to squeeze Dominique and Vincent in your arms to say thank you. We will see them again at the Villa his year.
