Stayed here on the first night of a cross Canada driving trip.  I do not have great expectations, but I do have some standards.  Tantramar did not meet those standards.
It probably is worthy of three stars, but upon entering the room I noticed how cold it was and then found out that the heating system was not working.  I had to ask for the heating system for the building to be turned on as it had been turned off in anticipation of summer temperatures.  
The location is not great either as one is on a dead end road.
I feel bad for the owners as it probably was a decent hotel, but likely got messed over when the 4 lane highway was built.
There are better places in the area to stay at a more reasonable price and closer to any type of services.
To end on a positive, it is a great place to have a dog as the dead end road and no neighbours allows for a nice relaxed place to walk.

3 Star Price for a 2 Star Motel

If turning on the heat and watching flies come crawling out of every where in the room is your thing then you'll love this place.. It's not our thing, we stayed about 20-40 minutes and left. We were still charged for a 2 night stay... Great way to treat a senior Vet.

My husband and I have been visiting Newfoundland and Labrador (road trip) for many years and have driven past this motel.  It always looked so inviting with all the hanging flowers and the great expanse of lawn complete with picnic tables.  In July 2019 we decided to break up our travel home by stopping here then spending a day in PEI.  We had a wonderful stay.  The owner is so nice and accommodating.  When we made our reservation, we were told there was breakfast included.  That would be a good thing so we could get on our way quickly to enjoy our day in PEI.  We expected a cold continental breakfast and were pleasantly surprised when a hot home cooked meal appeared although you could have the cold items as well.    And I haven't even gotten to the room--it wasn't just clean, it was spotless!  Spacious with a desk for your PC, free wi fi, a comfy bed, new TV, coffee maker, fridge and microwave and a sofa.  The bathroom was spotless too with plenty of towels.  We slept well, it was so quiet. You could park right outside of your door.  Now we're looking for excuses to stay again.  Thank you!  Sorry to be so late with my review.

wonderful stay

My wife and I decided to spend a night here on our way to Moncton for Christmas shopping and I wanted to do some touring around Sackville as I received my undergraduate degree from Mount Allison. Check in was easy, the new owners are very nice and took us to our room. He showed me how to use the thermostat, the television remotes and went over the room with us to make sure everything was up to standards. I  must say the new owners have done quite a good job with renovations and the motel is looking good since my last stay in July 2011. Our room had everything we needed and the price was right. The owner asked us what time we would be up for breakfast as it was included but we did not plan to attend and thanked him. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a reservation with late check in. But when we got there at 22h the guy at the front desk told us that he did not have our reservation. We tried to show him our reservation and ask if he knew any other place we could go. But he would not answer us and even threaten to call the police. We where very polite and we do not look like a very scary couple ...

Worst staff ever

Reception was efficient and the hosts are very nice. This motel is old but being slowly upgraded. The rooms are very clean and reception is nice. The highway is close but the motel is extremely quiet. 
Breakfast was a waffle, egg, few blueberries, toast, and tea and coffee.. quite good. A 1 bedroom unit is a good choice. Parking is right in front of your unit. Sackville is about a mile away.

OK for a night

This friendly hardworking family made for a pleasant stay. Old but clean good fresh cooked breakfast. Sackville is a great little town with a super Salvation Army thrift store
We stayed twice. On the out and on the back so that says it all.

Family run

Took a spontaneous trip to the Maritimes and this was one of the few places on the way to Nova Scotia that had rooms available that night. The rooms were dated but well-kept, and the owners were attentive to my late check-in.

The included breakfast was a full plate of homemade fare served like a sit-down restaurant.

Hearty breakfast

After travelling for hours and we decided to stay somewhere before carrying on our journey across the east coast.  We stopped into this motel.  The rooms were dated but were quaint the bed was terribly uncomfortable but it was a place to lay your head down.  The lady at the front desk was very friendly and wow breakfast was delicious freshly made when we came into the front desk room.  A lot of motels don’t offer complimentary breakfast and it was very nice touch.  The friendly service was great and for what we wanted the room for worked very well and being last minute thankful they had a room available.
