All we needed: quiet, two bedrooms, a beautiful view of the lake, the proximity to St. Donat (10 minutes by car) and a full balcony within a 30-minute drive.

Quiet with a view of a lake

Very well situated: 1km from the entrance to Mont-Tremblant National Park (Pimbina sector), at the bottom of a small road overlooking Lake Provost with its private beach! 7km from the lively village of St-Donat de Montcalm where you will find shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and an excellent French bakery! This hostel is a haven of peace and tranquility! much better than the clinching hotels of Mont-Tremblant! Very good quality/price with a friendly reception by the owner! Breakfast with toasting fruits, fresh and crispy coffees! excellent view of the lake Chenabure with a clean smell, but not in a very nice environment!

Excellent quiet stay with a view of the lake and the park gates!

We went for 2 nights. The room was in a building other than the Hostel, right next door. A room with a queen bed, a sofa, a refrigerator. There was no TV or air conditioning. For us it was very good. We had 3 windows and it wasn't the hot tubs. There was a fan in the ceiling. It's very clean. It's not the big luxury but it was very convenient. The temperature allowed us to have lunch with a superb view of the lake. We saw a ball in the first morning. The lunch is light. Toasts or croissant, cat, yogurt, fruit, peanut beers, in the condo.

A Quiet, Peaceful, and Warm Place

Located on the shores of Lake Provost right next to Mount Tremblant Park. The ideal place to go racketing, skiing or walking. A warm home with good service. A clean room with a comfortable bed. A simple but good breakfast (growing, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee). If you love the calm and beauty of nature and want to rest, this is the ideal place.

A peaceful place two steps from the Mont Tremblant Park

It is located on a beatiful setting with a great lake view. Room was very clean and good enough to accomodate 4 adults. The breakfast was simple but great. Owner was very helpful and willing to help with any of our needs.

For one night's stay this is all, we really liked it.

It was a night's stay

It's a rather ordinary place, the owners are visibly tired of receiving the guests and at the end of the roll. Unacceptable lunch. With an empty dining room, scrambled eggs, served cold, cracked and prepared 30 minutes in advance. Even the roasts were cold. And what's insulting and unacceptable is a plate served with thick hair on the melon! Pay no more than $80 for this 2-star lodging or avoid going there.

Disappointing

Auberge Havre du Parc is right on Lake Provost and the view from the dining room, where you are served a scrumptious breakfast, is the best in St. Donat. The room decor is typical to that of a European ski lodge with wooden walls and outdated furniture. The place was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. There are no tv's in the rooms but in typical ski lodge fashion, there is a tv in the main house with games and puzzles. Raymond, our host, was welcoming and cooked delicious crèpes. Breakfast is included as are free walks with Rocky, the owner's Labrador.

Best view of Lake Provost in St. Donat

If you are seeking the Quebec auberge experience & French Canadian cuisine as table d'hote, this is the place for you.  Thanks to Luc, Raymond & Rocky for a lovely stay, and for great directions over the phone when our GPS took us elsewhere :)

Winter solitude at its best

If you're expecting the quality of a Hyatt or Hilton, this isn't it.  But if you'll be satifsed with a simple, clean room near the park, it's worth considering.  There's no TV or in-room coffee maker.  The Wi-Fi is marginal from the rooms, but works OK in the main lodge.  The rooms are somewhat dated, looking like they were built in the 1950s and haven't been updated much since then, with slightly shabby carpets and upholstering on the sofa, but they're clean and comfortable.  The bed is comfortable and firm, there's a small refrig, desk & chair.  The bathroom is small, with a shower stall but no tub.  The breakfast is OK, but not great.  

The best selling point of this inn is its location  -  just outside the Pimbina entrance to the Tremblant park, avoiding the 15 minute drive to the village of St Donat, where most of the hotels are located.  But you'll need to drive to the village anyway, since that's where most of the restaurants in the area are located.
