I rented a cabin ar $200 per night and was extremely disappointed. It smelled of old tobacco.  The furniture was dilapidated, the sofa was worn and torn. The lighting in the entire cabin consisted of bare light bulbs.  We could not open the stove door without it hitting the fridge, the dishes were a mismatched collection of chipped, discolored discards. The coffee pot was dirty and so many other things were just wrong!!! Did I mention that there was no battery in the smoke detector? I paid extra to be lakeside and was rewarded with a sea doo parking lot in front of the cabin: so lots of noise and no place to swim.

Don't go there!

this KOA is by far one of the nicest we have ever stayed at. it is a fairly new park. I met Martin the owner and he personally designed the park with a architect. it is very well thought out taking into account the views of the lake, mountains and even the direction the wind blows. the transient sites are on top of the hill with great views. most of the pull through sites have 2 sewer hookups in different locations so you don't need many hoses. and if you have 2 sewers. even better.bathrooms and showers are great. even the tent sites are really quaint tucked in the woods with grassy areas for your tent.

We camped here June of 2017 & we came back again this year - 2018. The sites we took both years were at the lower area. They were on a level gravel pad with grass in between. We used the laundry’s washers & driers where the public showers & washrooms were located. The friendly & helpful owner told us the hot tub  & heated pool were ready for our use. The wifi was free near the office with a fee for use for on-site usage. There was a lake across the street. Recommend stopping here as it’s not far from the Trans-Canada highway.

This KOA is in a very nice location. It's very busy and was pretty well packed out. We stayed in the D section which was close(st) to the pool and amenities. Some of the plots up the ridge have better views of the lake. It depends on what you're after. Many of the staff only speak French, which is a little tricky. 

The pool was good. With a life guard provided the kids loved the slide. Minor criticism: I do not understand in summer why the pool closes around 5 or 6pm for an hour. I can appreciate that staff need breaks, but during high season, it just doesn't make sense not to have a secondary person relieve them of their duties and keep the pool open. 

My children loved the BMX bike track. They had a fantastic time both riding and running through it. 

Everything seemed further away in this park than what I've experienced in others. Perhaps another amenities block needs to be considered. 

The site appears to be very new and even though you're surrounded by luscious forest, it almost felt like you were in Arizona due to the lack of shelter and plantings. 

The recreation area was locked and keys had to be obtained from the front office. Which was a bit of a hike. The kids play area is fantastic, as is the splash pad. 

Laundry was good and very clean. Bathrooms were very clean, however I was a little unnerved by the security camera mounted in the corner of the bathroom. Further the shower curtains just do not keep the water in the shower area with the bizarre water saving spout that sprays water every which way but on your person. What was most frightening was when I closed the cubicle for my 6 year old son to shower while I checked on my other child, I heard an almighty CLUNK. The door handle had completely come of on the interior of the door. Had I been on the inside, we'd have been stuck. 
A toilet also leaked from the cistern, and a tea towel was being used to absorb the water. Maybe a maintenance person should be considered. 

Back at the RV, I was hanging my towel up on the exterior door and my flip flop caught on something, my foot came down on a snapped off camping peg and was sliced open. After this, other pegs were noted around the site. I can appreciate its not their fault, but a quick site inspection may be necessary each day/turnover. We reported it straight away to the front office, they were apologetic and sent someone around to check. He arrived which a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, puffing away profusely near the entry to our RV. Not a good image, nor odour to a family of non smokers. 

I paid for WiFi. It's only $3. But the speed is so ridiculously slow, it's not worth it. 

Overall, it's actually a good KOA park, with great potential. It just has these low level criticisms... But due to how many, I adjusted the score accordingly.
