Spent one night. Very modern. Wonderful decor. Clean. Priced right. Basics in the kitchen - fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea, dishes.. 2 minute walk to the main park and lake, 5 minute walk to the main strip. 

Exceeded my expectations.

Very clean, charming, has everything you need. In a great location.

My family of 5 adults and 1 toddler had an amazing time at the Auberge at the beginning of August 2018. We rented a two-bedroom apartment for 5 nights and it was so nice and clean, and big enough to accommodate of all us comfortably. The apartment had everything we needed from a hair dryer in the beautiful bathroom to cutlery, a stove-top oven, microwave and dishwasher in the immaculate kitchen. Honestly, we cannot wait to go back.  The location is also perfect-just steps away from the Lake and minutes from stores and restaurants. The owners are also genuinely caring and paid attention to all of our concerns. The gorgeous backyard was a safe haven for my baby to run around and have fun without us having to run after him. Every morning we had breakfast in the calm and peace of the backyard and every afternoon, we had an amazing time in the hot tub. It was the perfect place to stay at.

Home away from home

My husband  and I had a real good time relaxing and enjoying ourselves at this homey, seven apartment establishment from 8/19-8/26/2018. We were staying in a lovely corner studio (#1), equipped with a  kitchenette ,small fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee/tea  machine, hot water kettle, and ample dishes and silverware.  Renovated recently, this place is exceptionally well maintained and very, very clean. It is equipped with a flat, wall mounted TV screen, cable, DVD player, and internet. The bedding is exemplary, European style with linen hand ironed. In the backyard there is a hot tub and sauna. Parking is ample and on the premises.

The owners, (Elizabeth and Zbyszek) a delightful couple, take great pride by offering their guests all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. They were also very helpful in providing us with some good tips and suggestions about local events and trips of interest. Overall, it was a really great experience and we highly recommend this wonderful “little”  gem.

No doubt, we shall return!!!!!!

A real gem !!!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Auberge Pres du Lac earlier this month. Our two-bedroom apartment, No. 7, was so spacious and completely up-to-date (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) and decorated with a wonderful contemporary use of neutrals and dark wood furniture, with room pops of color and tasteful accents - I wanted to go home and redecorate my house like these rooms! As other reviewers have stated, this is in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from the beach and a few blocks the other way to downtown, with a good variety of shops and restaurants. Breakfast available at additional cost is well worth it from your very accommodating hosts.

Lovely stay in Saint-Donat

Every March break for over 20 years, we have come to St. Donat.  This was our first year staying at Auberge Pres du Lac.  Last year friends, while driving around town, found this lovely little inn which is within walking distance of the downtown - only a few minutes.  Our room was number one which was one of the bigger ones on the second floor.  We had a bedroom which could be closed off with pocket sliding French doors, a sitting area with a small corner electric fireplace and TV, a small bathroom (the shower had lots of water pressure) and a small kitchen area - bar sized frig, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster.  Just perfect for 2.  Elizabeth cooked for us 2 nights and it very good home cooking.  She and her husband take great pride of keeping this place clean and it is very up to date.   Storage space was a little lacking but for 5 nights it was just fine.  We didn't have to find room for skis or boots since we were able to leave those at the hill.  We made our own bed in the morning and wasn't sure if they actually went in but everytime we left towels on the edge of the shower, they would be gone and clean ones left.   I would totally recommend staying here and we would definitely go back.  We did not book for next year but at this point are not sure what is happening a year from now.
