This was a great motel to stop for the night between Halifax and Ottawa. The rooms are very clean and the beds were really comfortable at an affordable price. The restaurant also had delicious food and very good prices. Would highly recommend! 

Great motel right off the highway!

Great place to stop for a night while traveling!  Comfortable and clean.  Good shower, quiet night and Dog friendly.  There is a diner with good food and friendly service.  Janin was welcoming and charming.  We will stop again.

Great Find

Everything was ugly. The environment and the room. It's completely old and the cleanliness is desirable, the sheets were very wrinkled. There were dark brown towels in the bathroom, I asked for white towels and we gave them to me. Low-quality air conditioning.

Big disappointment

Positive points: ceramic floor, very clean bathroom, really comfortable bed. There's a lot of lack of maintenance in general. I'd replace the dirty chairs and the torn leather chairs with two wooden chairs and it would make a big difference. We had a back room upstairs so no nice views but at least it was quiet. Washing the windows is cheap and would give a more maintained air. Super welcoming staff (including the maid). Made the choice between two trips for a night car in high season.

Correct for a night out.

We stayed at Hotel Montagne for one night on a recent trip to Halifax from Toronto. We found it to be excellent value for the price. The location is excellent for travelers being as it is just off the highway, It was spotlessly clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The onsite restaurant serves very good food and is open through dinner and then opens up early for breakfast so travelers can be on their way quickly. We would stay again.

Excellent

We arrived a little earlier than expected, but we were greeted equally considering that the room was free. It was a little old but clean motel. The rooms were well equipped and the beds comfortable. The air conditioning was a little noisy at first but it was less and less disturbing as the evening progressed. The only bemoal was a little bit of the truckers who parked near the motel when they talked a little loudly to each other. The mountain restaurant was very good and the menu was varied. We ate well enough at this place. Thank you to Mr. Levesque for his hospitality.

Nice and comfortable motel.

An excellent “road side” motel that is situated to be very quiet.  Our room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious – with the great benefit of allowing dogs for a nominal charge.  Our room had been renovated.  The owners were pleasant and responsive.  We would be happy to stay again.

Best of Class

My Sister and Brother in Law stay here every year going to and coming from PEI. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and have been updated. Don't let the outside fool you. The rates are very reasonable. It is roughly halfway for their trip from Ontario to PEI. My Sister says this is the cleanest motel room she has ever stayed in.

Old outside New inside

Family overnight stay on the way to New Brunswick. Surprisingly good deal to find when we were all exhausted. Very clean and well supplied with  fridge coffee maker iron and ironing board. Hotel looks quite dated but clean and comfortable.Convenient  restaurant on the same lot. Reasonably priced compared to the dumps we saw on the way at much higher prices. Recommended for any traveler to stay at.  

Dated hotel turned out to be a gem.

Stopped to spend the night along our route from Ontario to Saint John, NB where we would be catching the ferry to Nova Scotia.  This was the perfect place to spend the night.  The manager was very friendly and helped me along as I attempted to speak to him in French (very poorly).  The property is dated and the rooms aren't pretty, at first I was worried but the room was impeccably clean and our king bed was very comfortable.
