We found the experience of staying here totally unacceptable.  As guests we were totally abandoned. 

We were shocked to be called the day before our arrival and sent codes via text to access the hotel and our room key (after having to ask which room we'd been assigned).  There was NO ONE at the hotel during our two night stay.  I phoned both the number that had called with the code information and the main number for the hotel and, again, NO ONE called us back.  I phoned twice.  The WiFi code didn't work; the unsecured network without password blocked incoming mail.  There was no breakfast possible -- I was told when booking that there was a restaurant across the street -- there was only one a short drive away.  

Do not be deceived by their online presence with a delicious looking breakfast and their phone manner when booking which seems warm and welcoming.  It is decidedly frightening to stay in an empty hotel, tucked away from the main road, surrounded by trees, with no contact possible with anyone at the hotel.

In short -- do not stay here.

Totally misled -- avoid staying here!

Very friendly hosts. When they took over the inn, they poured their hearts into it. Beautiful garden and terrace, very well maintained. Spacious rooms, beautiflly appointed with antiques in the main inn; more modern in the pavillion. Breakfast served in the main building, everything home-made, fresh and delicious!

Beautiful comfortable rooms, the very best breakfast included in a very reasonable room rate with truly historic setting The new owners are enthusiastic, friendly and committed to an outstanding experience.

Friendly hospitality

It was a very hot day so much appreciate do the AC in our room.  All the comforts of home plus a canopied bed.  Our hostess, Bridget was very accommodating, and mad us feel very welcome.  Our breakfast was delicious...thank you Chef Chris!  The porridge was like eating cream!  All around a great experience!  Locals were very friendly...came as a recommendation of someone local  gassing up at the same gas bar.  It’s tucked away beside the bridge but worth the search.

A gem we found by a wonderful accident

we stayed one night on our way to PEI.  loved the small village - great cheese shop.  very quiet room, nice breakfast.  interesting place to walk around.  pretty river.  quite enjoyable visit.  friendly owners and very helpful

Lovely village, lovely bnb

We spent a night here to break up a trip from Ottawa to Chicoutimi, booking it because there was almost nothing still available in Trois Rivieres.  

We found it clean and comfortable, and value for money.  Owners were friendly.  

We would stay here again.

Clean, Comfortable and Value for Money

This little inn, situated in one of the most picturesque corners of Quebec's Portneuf county was a welcome sight when I first entered the village after a long drive from Toronto. The main house, from the 1840s, has lots of character, unlike the pavilion containing most of the rooms. Mine was clean and well-outfitted. There appeared to be only one channel on the TV (Radio-Canada). Breakfast the following morning was quite copious and varied, with fresh fruit and yogurt as well as eggs, an excellent Quebec ham and potatoes. If I could make a suggestion, that part of Quebec has one of North America's premier specialty cheese industries, and they might take advantage of it to showcase them. I don't know how well the landlords spoke English because we communicated in French. They have only been running the place for three months, but I hope they make a success of it.
