My husband and I spent two nights at Auberge Chateau Lamontagne in August of 2018. Beautiful! Our room was comfortable, the restaurant was awesome and the view was spectacular.
The included breakfast was delicious and convenient. 
I highly recommend!

Last two nights of an epic vacation

We chose this place as a base for exploring the nearby provincial park, Gaspie and other sights along the Gaspie peninsula. Having come from glamping at Bic Provincial park, this chalet /cabin fulfilled all of our comforts.  

When searching for a place, I came upon this website. The photos are insufficient to truly showcase how lovely this location and town is. I would say Sainte Anne des Mont doesn't have the quaint charm of say, Kamarouska or RIivere du Loup, it does have many things going for it, such as good food options for being in such a remote location.

The chalet is described as sleeping 6.  There is a loft bedroom with 2 twins that is quite spacious. However, those in this room would not like it as the morning light streams into the loft (quite nice but not if you need dark to sleep in).  There is a double room beside the bathroom, and then the sofa bed is a double.  The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, and appliances are all in good working order. There is a kitchen table and a small living room area.  The bathroom is quite tiny, especially the shower (one of those all in one vinyl showers).

The beach nearby is great for walking, beach combing for aquatic organisms and watching the sunset.  It is a nice walk to the Explormer museum (an interactive museum which I recommend on a rainy/cloudy day).  

We did indulge in dinner at the Auberge and it was delicious. My husband had the seafood casserole, a daughter had the fish and chips, another daughter had the sausage (she was craving meat after eating so much seafood), and I had the sushi pizza and seafood chowder. I found the seafood pizza a bit disappointing.  The water is not potable in the restaurant or the chalet. This is a bit of a pain, however, not overly challenging.

It was a lovely 3 night stay and is the highlight accommodation of our trip to the Gaspie.

Beautiful setting in well appointed chalet.

What a beautiful hotel! The hilltop location overlooking the beach and town is beautiful, and sunset from the wraparound porch was spectacular. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated; it was a little warm, as there is no a/c, but a fan at the window provided enough breeze that we were comfortable. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had a large variety of options, including lots of fresh fruit. We had dinner there as well, in their elegant dining room. My grilled scallops and husband's steak were tender and perfectly done. We highly recommend this auberge.

Highly recommended

We stayed in both the main hotel and one of the chalets.  Chalets have amazing views and are both spacious and cosy.  The hotel room was very well appointed, with lovely views, nice breakfast, only downside was the lack of a closet or anywhere to hang clothes so check that out. In both cases level of service was really high.

Lovely location, really nice accommodation, great service

We stayed there for 2 nights and had a room with a view on the sea. The room was simple but comfy and very clean. Due to the Covid situation, breakfasts are served in a box that you can either eat in your room or in the restaurant. Location is very central and you can walk to the small town easily. The main attraction for us was the dinner menu. We ate there both times and everything we tried was delicious! Portions are big and all dishes even  a classical Fish and chips include a creative twist. We tried a curry creme brulee that was to die for!!!!  So when in the neighborhood, don't hesitate and go there!

Very nice hotel and the restaurant is so worth it!

Spent 3 nights here while hiking in the parc nationale de la gaspesie. Great setting up on a hill overlooking the town and the river. There's a fairly upscale restaurant. The room was nice and spacious with a window that opens for some fresh air. Restaurant and bar close at 9 PM so that they don't disturb guests upstairs. Continental breakfast was good. Filled us up each morning. Also easy to walk into town for dinner.

Nice hotel 

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the 3 chalets located just below the main B&B.  The chalets are obviously relatively new and are very clean.  They feature a queen bedroom on the ground floor with a loft above with 2 single beds.  The chalets have a stove and microwave with a full complement of plates and cooking utensils.  There is a nice deck with a beautiful view of the St Lawrence River.  The only negatives are a cramped bedroom and a very small bath.  The shower is so small it is almost impossible to apply soap.  That said, we would likely return here again.

Extraordinary Location

We stayed at this property in one of the chalets for 2 nights. Great oceanside setting  - not for swimming but great beachcombing  - close to tourist routes, grocery store, etc. The chalets look very new and accomodated our group of 4 adults no problem. We used this as our base camp to travel to the local national park, and another day trip to the other side of the peninsula. The only concern we had is we were told that a BBQ would be available for use during our stay,  but were told upon checking in that they aren't available. We didn't eat in their restaurant but it looked good with a decent selection of craft beer. 

Beautiful surroundings, on the ocean 

This simple hotel is located hear the seaside. The rooms are furnished in the style of the hotel. The restaurant offers good quality dishes with fresh ingredients. Good as transit hotel for one night.
