An excellent choice on Salt Spring! Tanis is a wonderful and accomodating host, and she gave us the perfect orientation/itinerary to make the most of our two-night visit to the island. The room is comfortable, the food amazing, and you could not ask for a prettier view of the sunset. Beach access is a bonus! We would definitely return.

Comfortable and beautiful gem

We just returned from 3 nights at Skipping Stone and wish we could have stayed forever! The view will leave you speechless and we got to enjoy several incredible sunsets. The location was quiet and peaceful but also conveniently located not far from Ganges. Great little beach for a dip or taking the paddle boards out. Nice and tidy suite with many kitchen utensils and small appliances. On arrival, Tanis provided us  a wonderful breakdown of all the things to see and do on our first time to the island. As well as, she generously brought us incredible baked goods on the first and third day (the scones are to die for!!) This was on top of all the already supplied breakfast items (fresh fruit, bread, milk, cream, orange juice, yogurt, etc) Overall, this is a phenomenal place to stay and we are already planning our next trip back!

Paradise found!

The B&B was perfect for our family (4 adults) to spend 3 really nice days on our first trip to Saltspring Island. We booked the Starfish apartment with the extra bedroom. Everything you need is in the kitchen. Every other morning Tannis personally delivers her fresh baked muffins and scones, which are the best we've ever had! The views from the suite and deck were amazing. There's a path in front of the deck and down a steep wooden staircase to the private beach below, where we enjoyed swimming, paddle-boarding and beach-combing. The house is set above the beach down a long driveway through the woods so it's very quiet and seems like you're a million miles from town but it's a short drive away.  We did tons of sightseeing, based on Tannis' recommendations. She really knows her island! Even winter would be lovely with the fireplace, TV, DVDs, games and books. When we were there it was very hot out but the screened windows and fans made sleeping cooler and the suite is quite cool. Highly recommend it!

Fabulous weekend in Paradise!

Skipping Stone Beach B&B Hosts, Tanis and Paul, the accommodation and location were all perfect.
The room was spacious, clean, cool , comfortable and quite.
Sitting outside looking out over the water for breakfast or at the end of a day touring the island was so pleasant.
The hosts gave me an excellent introduction to places to see on the island so that I made the most of my stay.
The B&B is only a few minutes drive from Ganges which has plenty of shops and restaurants.

The perfect island retreat

What an incredible spot! Easy access to Ganges, but not in town. Stunning views and tucked away. Sunsets and sunrises are magical. Tanis makes the MOST delicious scones ever. The kitchen is nicely set up and our beds were comfortable.  Such kind and generous hosts! We are grateful for our 3 nights here, and would love to return! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Scones, Views, and Warmth

Stunning views. Impeccably clean and comfortable. Fantastic hospitality and friendliness from the hosts. Tanis gave us wonderful ideas for exploring the area and is a delightful person, not to mention an accomplished baker. Her freshly baked delicacies were much appreciated and delicious. We will be back!

Yes, We Did Skip Stones On The Beach!

We had a delightful time staying at Skipping Stone beach B&B. We were very happy with our suite and all the amenities. The sunsets were wonderful to watch from our cozy bed, and the icing on the cake were the couple of porpoises we saw from the beach on 2 consecutive days. We hope to be back, Tanis and Paul took great care of us. 

Serene and Beautiful

The Starfish Suite has a great layout and the view from the room and the deck is beautiful and magnificent at sunset.
The home baking, fruit and yogurt for breakfasts is delicious.
We particularly enjoyed the tourist information we were given as it was our first time on Saltspring. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We are both advanced  seniors and appreciated our luggage being carried from car to suite.

A Little Bit  of Heaven

Skipping Stone Beach B&B has everything you could want in a B&B: wonderful, helpful hosts, beautifully appointed suites, a mesmerizing view--honestly, you can stare at it for hours and never get bored--comfy beds, utter quiet, and a gorgeous pebble beach. Yes, the water is cold, and yes, it's totally worth taking a dip. Tanis is an amazing baker--and our breakfasts were divine. I would go back in a heartbeat, any time of year. The photos on their website do not lie. I came away rested and refreshed--a welcome re-set in my busy life. 

The perfect B&B on Salt Spring Island

We were lucky to find this B&B available for booking, when our original 40th anniversary plans fell through last minute due to wildfires on Vancouver Island.  What a find!   Tanis greeted us in the driveway, toured us through the suite and property & spent quite a bit of time with us suggesting things to do on the island, including recommendations for the best restaurants etc.   Her advice was spot on!   We loved her fresh baked goodies on mornings 2 and 4, as well as the ample and tasty breakfast provisions in the room.   She even gifted us with a box of her nummy homemade baked treats on our anniversary :-)  The views from the room were stunning and we loved our time relaxing on the deck listening to the waves lapping on the beach.   A serene and tranquil place to pause and reflect.   We'd love to return again some day.
