Very nice and quiet place. Stove, bath tab and view. Nature around is for healing. Good to stay in any season. Clean in chalet and around.
Mineral water is real. Just in front of ocean.
I can recommend it to my friends.

Very good

First visit and already planning our next!  Clean and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen.  Gorgeous views of Wallace Island and Galiano. We watched eagles soar by and enjoyed watching the boats and occasional freighter pass by in Trincomali Channel.  Saw quail and sparrows on the property along with rabbits that kept our "pup" entertained. Lots of trails behind the resort to explore and wildlife to view. Saw my first barn owl up close!  Melissa and Steve are kind caretakers who really go out of their way for guests!  Melissa, when she saw we were travelling with our puppy, brought us an extra floor fan to keep the cabin cool!  So kind and thoughtful.  We will be back very soon !

Ocean views and peace await you. 

The wife and I were on our 35 anniversary and we usually stay in Tofino BC but it was getting way overpriced and decided to change it up as we both love our province and dislike airports. 
There’s not a lot of places to stay on SaltSpring but I found this place which the cabins were a totally a clone to our place at Ocean Village Tofino but half the price.
The cabins we spotless clean and a lot bigger then Tofino but needed an update on the exterior. The place has such potential and just needs an infusion of money to set it there.
The young lady looking after the place was awesome but overwhelmed in this climate of nobody wanting to work and was incredible to say the least.

This is a lovely spot, with a great view and a very good coffee shop in walking distance. Handy lay out with beds upstairs and common areas on the main floor. Unbeatable view for the price. Nice rustic cottage. Nice touches like bathrobes and a spa tub. Good supply of kitchen utensils. We didn't use it but wood burning stove. We also didn't use it but there are bicycles and common areas for outdoor games.

Fantastic View

There is obviously a lot of deferred maintenance here. There is rotting wood on the outside structure and the plumbing definitely needs updating. We were looking forward to a mineral bath in the jacuzzi.  After waiting an hour for the tub to fill only 6 inches, we gave up. Will not be coming back.


Disappointed

With the unprecedentedly superb autumn weather we decided to hop over to Salt Spring Island from Victoria for the weekend.  We had been eyeing the Mineral Springs resort as a possible stay for some time now.  We enjoyed the cute "chalet" and found it very comfortable.  While it is true that they haven't been renovated in a while, we still found ours (#2) to be clean, comfortable, and we a had a lovely, relaxing time.   The view from the living area and porch was fabulous--enhanced by the cloudless skies and 25 Celsius temperatures in mid-October!  It is an extremely quiet location which was just what we needed.  The small kitchen was well-stocked with glassware, pots, cooking implements, etc.  The jetted tub with the mineral springs water was a delight.  The spring water does contain a lot of minerals and so the tub did have some discolouration due to the mineral deposits but everything was clean and worked like a charm.  We met the hosts and enjoyed talking to them both.  A week later and autumn storms have started to roll in, so we are really glad that we went on this retreat when the time was right.  As other reviewers have pointed out, this is not a luxury resort; but it is off the beaten track a little and a very enjoyable stay.

I'd been here for a couple of very pleasant stays a long time ago and was looking forward to another quiet retreat.
The cabins are beautifully built, very cozy, and located in a very peaceful, remote location with beautiful views over the ocean and islands. Staff is friendly and responsive when they are on site. Our cabin was clean and the kitchen was well equipped, with a wide range of toiletries and hot drink options, and they even provide bath robes and all that you need for a cozy fire in the wood stove.
Unfortunately, none of the furniture has been updated for at least a decade since my last visit. The mattress was hard and lumpy and there was nothing comfortable to sit on, either inside or outside. The two wide benches in the living area with old  cushions had only some pillows for back support and the squeaky rocking chair cushion had long since lost its padding, so we ended up placing and stacking all available pillows on sitting surfaces in an effort to get comfortable.
Bottom Line: Very cozy cabins in a great, peaceful location for a retreat, but if you require a good bed or comfortable places to sit for your stay, this might not be the place for you until the owner gets around to buying some reasonable furniture.

Cozy Cabin in Beautiful Location Needing Updates

Can't complain about a thing.  Our cabin was ready for us even though we arrived early, it was warm and fully equipped.  It was a perfect getaway; quiet, peaceful and across the street from the beach. The jacuzzi tub was an added bonus as were the cotton robes.  I had emailed Melissa numerous times before we arrived and she was always quick to respond and always extremely pleasant. We would definitely go back.

Beautiful family getaway.
We rented the two bedroom cabin and it had plenty of space. Beautiful views.
No oven but fantastic BBQ on the front deck. Upstairs deck and lovely view from upstairs main bedroom.
Host was so friendly and checked on us regularly to make sure we had  everything we needed.

Quiet family getaway

With Covid restrictions lessening, we found the need for a vacation. Melissa welcomed us with a phone call before our arrival. She was warm and inviting. We stayed in an amazing cabin, with a great view - all that was missing was a pod of whales swimming by. The cabin was very clean, well laid out, and had an enclosed fireplace, complete with plenty of kindling and logs. The mineral springs jacuzzi tub was delightful. Thank you, Melissa, for providing an amazing vacation!
