The suite was clean and inviting.  The bugs were intense this year and kept finding ways into our room despite us being very careful with leaving and entering.  There were small ants, mosquitos and large flies that continually found their way into the room.  The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities for meal prep.  Pull out couch has a poor mattress and the main bed was fine.  The slide for shower head in bathroom was broken so it either sprayed at your stomach or you needed to hold it with one hand. Location is fantastic.

Good experience will go back

We stayed here for three nights in July 2024 (2 adults 2 children). The Suites are clean and in a great location. They are also spacious and updated. 

I would not recommend booking a 1 bedroom plus hide a bed as the hide aways are atrociously uncomfortable; we have stayed before and had a 2 bedroom which was much better for sleeping. I also recommend bringing fans as it gets quite hot by the end of the day.

Also, they no longer have barbecues on the decks of the suites so you have to use a shared area on the ground level which is new and was unexpected.

Check in was easy and the location cannot be beat! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Waskesiu.

Great location for a quiet holiday!

I stayed here a few years ago and very much enjoyed it, know some locals, this being my home province, though moved away many years ago. But, I was just back in September 2022 for three days and had a super time. Loved it all.

Great place

Absolutely loved our stay. Space had plenty of room. Very well stocked and very clean. Stayed on the top floor so lots of stairs, but worth it. Really enjoyed our deck and bbq. Superb location, on top of Olaf’s and 2 blocks from everything you would want. Have stayed here numerous times and will book again next year.

Great space and location

We stayed in suite 206 for a last minute anniversary trip. The suite had everything we could possibly need and the location was perfect for what we were looking for, very central to the beach and all of the shops and restaurants. Ted was extremely helpful and very responsive any time we contacted him, though we never actually met due to the current COVID protocols. If it’s within your budget I highly recommend the Grand Skyview Loft, it gave us 2 balconies to make use of, as well as no one above us which made for a quiet stay. There were really only 2 areas that could be improved, the first being the shades in the main bedroom, they were more of a mesh material, which did ok to block anyone from viewing in, but we’re by no means light blocking, which made the bedroom very bright, especially with the street lamp outside, next time I’ll definitely bring a sleep mask. The second thing, which I’m sure is rarely an issue, is that the AC unit could not compete with the +35C days we’ve had, and by 4pm the suite was only marginally cooler than outside. Overnight it cooled down nicely though, but the addition of an oscillating fan or two would not go amiss on hot days.
Overall would 100% stay here again!

Perfect spot for a getaway

When I asked (very very nicely) for a quilt that had been washed since prior use, the manager was condescending. When I asked where I could rent paddle boards she told me to check google. We left the place clean (separated clean from dirty towels and linens, put dirty dishes in dishwasher, wiped counter, left clean linens in basket folded), but she accused us of leaving it dirty. She also accused me of having two dogs when I had only one. I took responsibility for and said sorry for my dog barking. But she was very verbally abusive and the hurt that she caused me really disrupted my holiday. I should have taken photos upon leaving to prove that I left it clean.

Money hungry are the owners. Absolute rip off, would never recommend this overpriced hotel to anyone, there are way better accommodations in Waskesiu. The Female Vanna is very disrespectful to guests.

Suite smelled like room deodorizer when we first came.  Had a headache for the first day and had to leave windows open.  Shower pressure very low.  Difficult to wash your hair and get the shampoo out.   Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Was there a week and the suite was never cleaned. We were on the main floor and you could hear the people walking around upstairs as well as people on the stairs coming from the suites. Very noisy. Parking lot is small and only accommodates small cars. No view of the lake.    Would not recommend for the $250/night they charged.

We have stayed in Waskesiu several times and this is by far the best suite we have had. Very clean (it smelled freshly cleaned when we checked-in), the managers very personable and will do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. Great central location, able to walk to everything in the townsite.
