My spouse and I had the pizza , because we heard great reviews,  well I ll say it's nothing to rave about !!  The selection for pizza is awful . The drinks were great !! But other then that , it's over priced .

Lunch 

Just returned from the resort, 2 night stay including the meal plan. Resort is beautiful and  spotless , rooms grounds and lobby.
We stayed in the lodge tree view  room sharing a communal  fridge, microwave and coffee machine.
Meal plan included dinner and breakfast. Large portions, for dinner with daily specials. The 2 days we were there had buffet breakfast with a large selection.
Great place for children of all ages, with aqua gym and salt water pool.

Loved our Stay

End of summer -  not quite ready for Autumn.  The weather was great for the last week of August and our hosts at Beachwood, the Morgan Family, went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and fun.  There is so much to do at Beachwood:  water sports including a water playground, fishing, the sand pile, the playground.    Bar service was superb.  The cabin was immaculate.

The perfect escape

In all of my experiences staying at resorts, I have never been told that a request was “minute” in significance. Those were the exact words used by the OWNER of Beachwood Resort when asking for a mixed drink. Dave had more important things to worry about other than helping a paying guest. If he couldn’t help me at that particular moment, “give me a few minutes and I’ll get it to you” would have sufficed. Just want to be clear - one of his staff members made my friends and I the most delicious Palomas to enjoy our first night and they were delightful. We figured it wouldn’t be too much to ask for the same drink a couple of days later. I was staying here with a group of 11 people and we paid a premium not only for our cottages, we rented a boat and bought drinks and snacks on the daily.  After the owner was dismissive, we didn’t want to pay a penny more. This will be the last time we stay here. To see someone have no desire to retain customers and to treat them with little respect, or should I say ‘minutely’, is why I am writing this review today.  I am completely taken aback by this behaviour. The owner was condescending and downright rude. The bar was closed most of the time, so when it was open, we rushed over to enjoy some more delicious drinks. Apparently the owner, as well as some of his staff, were not willing to go the distance to grab an ingredient for a drink I was served the day before. On top of that, the restaurant was completely booked every night for dinner, where only a few tables were being served. There is only one chef on the premises, so there was no availability to eat on-site. That is something that would have been nice to know the moment we checked-in. I understand the challenges that come along with labour shortages, but there is a right way and wrong way of saying and doing things. The owner is way over his head and the rudest man I have ever encountered. 

My friends and I  (3 families) booked two full-sized cottages. This is not the first year we’ve stayed here - we came during the pandemic and were prepared to have little expectations. We figured we would give this place another chance. Other than the nice view - what view wouldn’t be nice by the lake - we weren’t impressed! The cleaning staff left the floors soaking wet when we arrived. Some rooms smelled moldy, there were insects stuck all over the window sills and most of the glasses in the cottage still had lip stains on them because they weren’t cleaned very well. It was a very ‘minute’ experience for us considering the price tag. We feel taken advantage of for what we paid. The only saving grace were the guests/families staying at this resort - they were very lovely people. If you’re wondering if this place is any good, look somewhere else. Find a place that won’t rip you off and treat you like a human being.

Horrible experience with owner and staff

The food at Beachwood is absolutely amazing, We especially enjoyed the lakeside patio bar that offers meals, ice cream, and drinks. The resort staff are friendly and very accommodating to special requests, The cottage we stayed at was extremely clean. Highly recommend.

Excellent Weekend Stay

Great friendly staff who were very helpful with our stay.  We enjoyed dining at Frederick’s patio.  The outdoor pool was warm and not too overcrowded.  The ping pong table was still available for indoor use during the rainy times.  Having a bbq at our two bedroom lake view unit was very convenient.

Nice stay

Last minute 3 night getaway. 
The service was excellent, friendly, & accommodating . Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked.  
The food was amazing and each night there were new specials. The grounds have lots to offer and the outdoor bar was a bonus! The kids loved getting ice cream at the patio. We will return! 

Great Stay At Beachwood 

Nice relaxing location, family friendly. This location has been making changes to keep people coming back. Lots of water toys for kids and adults. Without meal plan can be expensive to eat. Outside bar is fantastic and service very good. Would recommend to friends and family. WiFi can be very slow.

Great Place

Stayed for four nights. The room was spacious, clean and generously equipped, especially kitchen; it would be nice to have some kind of range hood. Wi-Fi was spotty and slow, we came to have a rest of those things though. The view from the room is amazing. The location, forest and the lake itself are great. Outdoor pool is good,  the water is clean and warm, ~28C and it's just a bit cooler in the lake. The restaurant is good, food is tasty. Staff is nice and helpful.

Pleasant lake resort

We wanted to send a warm thank you to the folks at Beachwood for their handling of our daughter's postponed then cancelled wedding (due to Covid-19. They still love each other, lol.)
We have a cottage down the lane, so this venue was really the only one that made sense to book. It's so beautiful and holds so many memories.
The bride and groom, and many family members and guests, live out of the country and even on other continents. We postponed the June 2020 wedding to June 2021. As pandemic restrictions and worries grew it became clear that the wedding was unlikely to happen in summer 2021 either. Jo-anne, Krista and the rest of the Beachwood family treated us with care and respect and were much more than fair in reversing our arrangements. We're truly grateful to you all and hope to be able to celebrate many family milestones at Beachwood Resort in the future. In the meantime, we'll be sure to visit Frederick's restaurant for a delicious meal when it opens in the spring!
