Don’t plan on eating food at the place he no longer serves food but keeps the all the signs up saying he does. Also they make there own ice in trays for the bar so you end up with three ice cubes per drink with warm pop the ice was gone out of my drink before I sat down.  I went there on a Friday night and he was the most ignorant drink server I’ve ever seen also raising the price on drinks as the night went on thinking I wouldn’t remember a beer costs, and shut the lights off in the bar an hour before closing and stopped serving alcohol. Staying at this place is also a nightmare, he think he dictates what time customers should go to bed he came out told me I must go to bed at 11 o clock at night and told my co workers they couldn’t be there having a conversation. I would avoid this place at all costs.

I was on a contract in shanauvan , I stayed at the kings Hotel for 2 months, ,the owner ensured my room was comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful , the cook always made the best food ,I will certainly be staying here again!!

GOOD STAY

The rooms are inexpensive but nice--as low as $66 including tax. The proprietor "E-Z" is kind and helpful. Unless you want an upstairs or the luxuries of the Canalta there's no reason to not stay here.

Great value

Price was $22 more than what I was confirmed. See attached. When I checked in, I was given a room with two double beds rather than what I booked, but the sheets were dirty in both, so I used the lesser of the two. The mirror was dirty, a light was missing over the vanity, walls were dirty and damaged, the light cover in the washroom was dirty, there was hair in the tub, and there was very little hot water. Thankfully, I only had to stay one night. I won’t be back. Try another place in Shaunavon or drive from Swift Current.  The only positive is that it is walking distance to the Harvest Eatery.

We arrived late, mid-week, without reservations in Shaunavon to discover the three larger hotels/motels along the highway did not have any vacancies.  One kind soul took pity on us and directed us downtown to the King's Hotel.  We caught the owner of the King's Hotel just as he was locking up and, thankfully, he had vacancies.     
    There are two parts to this hotel - the historic main building and a new "L" shaped addition where you drive up to your door motel style.  We rented a room in the newer section and can happily report the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had all the amenities (two queen beds, wifi, fridge, microwave, tv/remote, clock radio).  The room also had one of my favourite features with the sink being outside the bathroom.  And the amazing thing is this brand new spotless immaculate room was only $66/night!  
     We cannot speak to the room quality in the main building as we arrived late and left early to continue our holiday.  Also there is a large dining area and bar in the main building - again, we left too early to take advantage of breakfast there.  Such a clean, modern room for such a good price!  Well done King’s Hotel staff!!!
