Love this hotel!

The maintenance man checked us in which was odd, he never even checked our license or credit card. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was pricy, but was very clean, comfortable and nice! However we we're rudely woke up 45 minutes before check out time, by a phone call from front desk that rang and rang , they said " oops, didn't realize the time". So definitely won't be back,!it was a get away to relax and sleep in, and that didn't happen. I recommend they work on the front desk staff!

The Canalta is the best hotel in Shaunavon bar none.  Kelsey and the staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful.  Breakfast in the morning was great and plenty of options to select from.  Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet.  Great place to stay!

Weekend Stay

Great service. Great breakfast. Our only complaint was that our key cards did not work very well. We had to go back to the desk at least 3 times to get them changed out.
Overall, it was good. They were accommodating for our dog, who had a training class in their conference hall, and had free coffee brewed throughout the day.

Great Stay.

Nice hotel, fairly new I think. We had a room with an exterior door which made it easier to load and unload from our vehicle. We are on a long road trip and making most of our meals ourselves so at a minimum we need a room with a fridge and microwave, which these rooms have. Plus they have a gas BBQ which I find more and more hotels/motels are now providing. We made good use of the one here. Plus, hotel includes a breakfast, albeit like most hotels it is a COVID-modified one but was just what we needed.

Room was spacious, comfortable, nice big shower. Check-in with Kelsey was quick and easy. She was friendly and helpful both at check-in and earlier when I called to make a reservation.

Great place to stay

I would like to start this off by giving a 'HUGE' shout out to a particularly amazing staff member of this hotel, Leona!.... I left/forgot an item in one of the rooms, and this amazing woman Leona, whom I've never met,  PERSONALLY made plans to hand deliver my item to my residents which is 6 hours away! Amazing experience at this hotel. In my 16 years of business travel including international travel, the accommodations exceeded my expectations. Rooms were very clean, and had beautiful vaulted ceilings which made it feel like home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! True Southern Hospitality.

Genuinely amazing staff, Beautiful rooms

My sister and I arrived late at night after a very long day of driving, and I have to say that this is one of the better placed we've ever stayed out on a road trip. We had a room with both an interior and exterior door, and the office staff was so kind to go to our room and open the exterior door for us after check-in so we could park right behind the exterior door and unload our luggage and be right in the room. 

The room itself was very pretty and so, so comfortable. Definitely one of the best hotel beds I've been in.

Memorable

Great amenities. Front staff are very helpful from photocopying to answering questions. Rooms are large and comfortable.  Black out curtains are nice too. Good variety of breakfast foods included and the best whole grain bread. 

Great service

We like Canalta hotels - they are in the category of a better Best Western.  This clean hotel has friendly staff, and has all the appointments you'd expect at most Canalta hotels. We appreciated the fresh hot popcorn on arrival, and that they had a hot tub. On check-in, we had a question about their rewards program, and the front desk was very helpful to us. We also asked for a top floor room and she kindly provided it.  Sadly, on the night we were there, the hot tub was out of order, but it was repaired by the next morning.  The hot breakfast was well-stocked by a friendly attendant, and very good, and such a timesaver for the busy traveler or business person.  We'd stay here again. There are a couple of restaurant options just across the parking lot, which even adds to the appeal of this hotel.

Comfortable, modern, clean, cozy, with friendly staff

Recently stayed in Shaunavon for work, and this hotel was great. It was clean, the room was large and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice to have in the morning, and the staff were very good. Will stay again!
