We rented all 3 rooms for the weekend of our wedding for ourselves + our best man and maid of honour. We booked the place about 1 year in advance as we wanted to ensure we had a great spot to stay during our wedding weekend. Deb and Brian more than exceeded our expectations with the place + hospitality. All 3 rooms were beautifully designed and very clean. We stayed in the loft which had its separate entrance and provided us with lots of privacy. 

Deb and Brian went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. When we asked if we could have a few friends over the on the eve before our wedding, they allowed us to use the main patio, set up lights and extra chairs, provided us with speakers and games for us and even left out a bottle of wine for us! It was so thoughtful and perfect for about 12 of us that hung out that night.  On the morning after the wedding, when some of us were a little slow to get up, Brian drove some of us over to the venue where we were having brunch and allowed us to have a later check out. 

We had a wonderful stay and can't thank Deb and Brian enough for being a part of a great weekend.

Perfect Wedding Weekend Stay

My husband and I have travelled a lot but have never been to a B and B before and  my husband was worried it would feel weird being in someone's house.  
It wasn't.  We had our own entrance and key. 

We only went there for a day as our son was playing a hockey game at Shawinigan lake school (he did not stay with us).  We had an entrance through the common room which had a TV, books, eating nook and couches.  Our neighboring room's occupants were out for the night at a wedding so we had to common room to ourselves in the evening for some wine and snacks. We had the Lake room which was decorated beautifully and had a lovely ensuite right in the room.  The elephant room had a bathroom in the hallway but belonged to the elephant room occupants. I believe there was also a loft suite but I didn't see it. 

The house was immaculate and absolutely gorgeous.  When we drove in we could smell lavender in the lush gardens and the room smelled like an expensive spa when I walked in.  Bed was comfortable and there was a selection of pillows to choose from. Room was a little chilly when we first got there but I turned on the heater for only 20 minutes and it stayed warm for the rest of the night. Sadly we got up way too early to enjoy the breakfast but the owner left us some coffee pods and cream for the morning. Nice shampoo and conditioner in the shower and hairdryer provided. I would definitely suggest this place to friends who are going to Shawinigan lake.  Stay two days!! 

 The entrance to the bed and breakfast suites has a great view of their treed yard and if it is warm enough you can sit outside and enjoy the outdoor patio and the gorgous trees all around. 

The owner gave us some good tips on where to go eat. Went to a nice restaurant close by in MillBay.
If we ever go to Shawinigan again, I would definitely stay again and hopefully stay for breakfast. I have a feeling this place may have set the bar high for other B and Bs we might try as we travel to watch our kid play hockey. 
B and Bs might be our new thing!

Beautiful and clean and new!

Stayed two nights here towards the end of a grueling holiday in Alaska and British Columbia. Greeted by the delightful Debbie who made us feel totally at home. The place was spotless and most comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for Debbie and Brian, her husband.  A most peaceful and restful environment, we brought in our own food and ate on the terrace in perfect peace and comfort. Breakfasts were good and filling. I recommend this place highly. A lovely house owned by charming people.

So, another five star review and well deserved. We had high expectations based on our research and everything was met or exceeded. The room was great and our hosts seemed like friends as soon as we met them. We will be coming back to this area and staying here for sure.

Great Hospitality

Peaceful location - large house surrounded by trees and a very nice garden -  very large room upstairs on the garage - great breakfast - the owners,Deb & Brian, were very friendly -  great accomodation - to be recommended

RESTFUL STOP

Deb and Brian proved to be wonderful hosts and provided excellent accommodation for our overnight at Shawnigan Suites.  The accommodation is first class -- comfortable, clean, beautifully appointed and exactly as pictured and described. We enjoyed relaxing on the sunny deck with two ice-cold beers (thanks Deb!) after a long, hot day on our bikes, which was very much appreciated.  Deb also arranged for a cab and made reservations for us at a fun restaurant on the waterfront in Mill Bay, which was also appreciated as we were happy to give our legs a rest and enjoy a hearty meal.  Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed visiting with Deb and learning more about the local community before we travelled onward.  We highly recommend staying at Shawnigan Suites for your next stay in Shawnigan Lake; you won't be disappointed.
