Very Handsome Inn on the Marina. Michael and David were fantastic! We we going to arrive fairly late and they communicated quickly and clearly on how we could get into our room and when we arrived the room was superb and the table was set for in-room breakfast that we had requested when we booked. Speaking of breakfast, it was fantastic and delivered to our table by the window overlooking the marina. The hotel itself is rustic in the right way's and while we weren't around for happy/cocktail hour I imagine it would have been quite pleasant. If you're planning on staying in Sidney, I highly recommend the Latch Inn!

Great, Rustic B&B with fantastic service, delicious breakfast, nicely appointed rooms, and cozy common spaces.

Outstanding place to stay. Beautiful view of the ocean, lush grounds well cared for, historical rooms and individually curated breakfasts!  Best part is that the building is clearly cared for with love by the gentlemen who own it. Definitely recommend.

A Must Stay!!

This is one of those places where 5 stars are not enough. The bed was like sleeping on clouds. Zzzzzzzzzz….slept so very well!  “Really, I have to getup and leave now? Really?  Don’t want to go. I want to stay here forever!” The water pressure and copious amounts of hot water were to die for. I could have stayed in the shower for hours! The suite was just wonderful. We staying in the Miraloma Suite.  Love, love, loved it. We sat on the private patio with our morning cups of coffee, watching the boats bob about in the marina.
The hotel owners were wonderful!! Very professional, friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. In the evening they brought delicious home made cookies and we thought, ‘oh no!  Way too many for just us…’ we later wolfed them all down in front of a roaring fire with a bottle of wine. Oh boy, what a perfect evening experience.
When can we move in? Permanently?  This more than a sumptuous luxury home from home, this is the dream hotel experience that we all look for in life. I really don’t want to recommend it, because if you all go there, they won’t have space for us….but honestly, you DO need to stay here.  Cannot recommend it highly enough, we will be back! As often as we can! Thank you for such an amazing stay. 

A hidden wonderful glorious gem. 

The suites show attention to detail, and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. A nice breakfast included.. all well done.  comfortable and highly recommended. Perfect out of the way location. Perfect for marina.  Will stay again

Fantastic stay and tasteful accommodations. 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Latch Inn. A beautiful historic house with authentic rustic architecture. We stayed in the WC Nelson room which was elegantly appointed with water views. The home cooked breakfast was 5 star and the personal service by the owner was exemplary. I highly recommend The Latch Inn for a relaxing stay. We will be back!

Vancouver Island’s best kept secret!

The Inn is clean, cozy and welcoming. We had a relaxing, much needed mini break. We will be back. The historic elements are well perserved. The gardens are gorgeous.  We felt as though we were staying at our friends home. The food was delicious!

Amazing - probably my favorite place I've ever stayed. David & Michael took care of our every need. The Inn is charming and historical and very well appointed. Beautiful views. Stay can be as private or as social as you like! The included breakfast (a variety offered daily 8-10) was gourmet quality. They even fed us late day 1 and made us "to go" breakfasts on day 4 to accommodate ferry schedules. Do yourself a favor and book!

From our welcome to our checkout we had a great experience. 
The rooms are well appointed and comfortable but the thing that makes for a great experience are the people.
Both Michael and David are super hosts and cannot be faulted.

A gem in Sidney

Charming historic building but what really made it was the warm and friendly hospitality of the owners. Breakfast is very good, too. Overlooks the marina. Parking is easy and close. Our first time in Sidney and the location is near Victoria.

We wanted a quiet, comfortable place to retreat and celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The Latch Inn exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in the gorgeous Miraloma Suite which David told us was originally a parlour. It was just perfect and having a fireplace simply put it over the top. We had sumptuous breakfasts served in our room in front of the glass doors overlooking the balcony and shipyard/docks below. The rooms have been restored with great attention to period detail (think cut crystal glasses on a silver tray) and that same attention is shown in the amenities including some things I’d never had before like ear plugs and eye make-up removal cloths. Tea in the morning and fresh cookies in the lobby mid-evening. I can’t think of one detail missed. Thank you David and your colleagues for making our stay so special.   Lori & Bob
