This will be the second time I’ve stayed here. The rooms are modern and clean, the beds are comfy. Amenities are fairly good. 

The ground floor seems a bit noisier than the 2nd floor, I think probably due to the tile floor. So noise was definitely heard during the early evening, it was not excessive. Nothing heard overnight

The thing that prompts me to give a five start rating is that the staff are so personable and helpful, every single one of them. 

This is the only place I’ll stay when I’m town.

Good hotel with warm, helpful staff.

Went to Northern Ontario, to Sioux Lookout. Went for a wedding, and stayed at frog Rapids fishing camp. They have a dozen cabins that sleep 23 or four, fridges showers kitchens, screened in porches, and barbecues. Launch your boat right outside your door, and or fish right off the shore in front of your place. It’s rustic, but it’s all clean easy to get to and Adell and Larry are the greatest people you’ll ever meet. It’s an hour and a half north east of Dryden Ontario. Met a few good people from Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, and yes, even some Canadians. Awesome, if you get a chance, and like to fish, head up to Sue Lookout Ontario and give Adell and Larry a try.

Great wedding

No microwave. Paper thin walls. Don't restock coffee in the room. No pool.
After 6 nights in the hotel, I learned from my coworkers that I was supposed to have a microwave in my room as they do. I enquired at the desk about getting one and they said to check back in a little bit. When I asked about a microwave that I was supposed to have as advertised, they stated they had none. I asked to be moved to a room with a microwave and they said I would have to upgrade to a king. They never restocked my coffee for my coffee pot in the room. The rooms have very thin walls. There is no pool and there is no warm breakfast. I will be checking out and moving to the hotel across the street where each room has a microwave. It made no difference to the hotel when I stated our company will be working in the area for months to come. If you choose to stay here, make sure your room is away from the stairs and elevator.

Not as advertised

Stayed 5 nights at end of October 2020.  All the staff were great and attentive.  Rooms were exceptionally clean and well stocked.   If ever in Sioux Lookout, this would be our go to hotel.  The only draw  back was having to go out for meals. But there is a hotel right across the road with a full service restaurant.

Was very surprised and satisfied with the cleanliness of this hotel and the excellent staff that went out of their way to help us.   D breakfast experience could have been a little bit better one of the days but other than that no issues for our stay

Jewel of Souix Lookout

When I come home to work I always stay at the Best Western. I have always had excellent service. The rooms are always clean and bed is very comfortable. I enjoy the breakfast bar in the morning. It always has something 8 enjoy. It is kept clean as well

Always clean and comfortable

When here last week for a fishing trip with 4 other friends, we needed one night in a hotel before our cabin was ready the following day. Two rooms had been reserved, upon arriving asked about another room for a single, and front desk clerk was very accommodating, and found us another room so we could all stay in the same hotel. Rooms and hotel looks to be remodeled, very clean and comfortable beds. Great location also, just as you enter town from the south. They do offer breakfast in the morning, we did not take advantage of that , had plans to eat at the lodge we were staying the rest of the week. Hotel was fine and would recommend staying here to anyone passing through this area.

One night visit last week.

Pros: 
Hotel is in very good condition and feels upscale. Room is clean and nicely furnished.
There are key card entry points other than through the lobby for hauling luggage to your room. Covered main entrance drive through for access in bad weather. Staff is helpful and accommodating. There is a pool but we didn't get to it so no opinion on that.
The "breakfast bar" is on the third floor which seems inconvenient but it works as the views are good and it's quieter and more relaxed than a lobby location. There's enough choice for anyone to start their day well. (Sadly the attendant was too engrossed in playing with his cellphone and had to constantly be asked to replenish supplies.)
Cons:  
The price of a double room is just a few cents short of $160.00/night.
There is no restaurant so dining is an off site venture. Television programming is less than basic and hard to use with many channels listed but showing "not authorized" when chosen so it's an exercise in wasted time.
The bathtub/shower installation is the worst I've seen in any hotel. Their contractor should be fired or sued. The shower head looks like a free gift from a door to door salesman, the tub spigot ends a full 1/2" from contact with the wall with no caulking to hide the hole behind it. The tub overflow fitting fully missed the cutout by almost another 1/2" leaving an open hole for water to run behind the wall, under the tub and into the room below.
All in all the hotel provides a decent night's sleep experience but falls far short of the $160.00 asking price.

Not worth the price.

 When I arrived, The electronica payment system had been unavailable for five days. There were signs all over the lobby saying “No cash? No check in.”   No effort was made to contact any of the people with reservations to notify them of this glitch.  There were a number of other problems with my stay but this is what is forcing me to make a truly negative review. There was no excuse for this. In total, the system was down for seven days and at no point did they make any effort to set up an alternative payment system like electronic money transfers or anything.  I saw a number of people with reservations sent away to go find an ATM so they could have enough cash to be allowed to check in. 

This is absolutely inexcusable service.
