As we traveled New Brunswick searching out various covered bridges, we found this gem nearby the Longest Covered Bridge in the World. We stayed in Michael's Room which was spacious and very comfortable. The area is very quiet. Doris was a great hostess and cooked a fantastic breakfast, that we ordered from the menu the night before. As recommended, we traveled 10 minutes by car up the country highway to a town called Woodstock that had many diverse restaurants for dinner. We ate at a casual diner called 'Walter's Table' on the main street into town, and had a wonderful dinner. The menu is quite extensive and well cooked by the kitchen staff, along with super friendly servers. Just a reminder that the current owners had it up for sale, so it may remain a B&B.

Super Everything Here

Family of four. We stopped for one night. The room we had was spacious, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with homemade products. The day we arrived, we were looking for a place around, not too far, to have dinner. Most of the restaurants advertised on Google were out of business. The B&B owner suggested the Covered Bridge Golf's restaurant, which was near and the food was great over there also. A pleasant stay!

Charming location and pleasant stay

We went to the area to visit the Heritage site of the covered bridge at Hartland, New Brunswick. This B&B is pretty much the only place to stay nearby, but they've done a great job of making it worth staying near the bridge. 

When you arrive, Doris gives you menu options for breakfast. Breakfast was quite tasty including home-made jams and marmalades, which they also have for sale. The display case in the dining room held the jams, Christmas ornaments of the bridge, note cards, and sold books about the area and the bridge which had been written by the owners. 

Our room was David's room and quite nice and comfortable, which had the bath en suite. Upstairs there is a large common area with a refrigerator, stove, tables and chairs, and several books about the area. 

One thing though is that we noticed that there was a "For Sale" sign on the drive as we pulled in. When we asked the owner about it, she admitted that the children have all grown up and moved away so they are looking at selling and moving on. She is hoping that the buyers will keep it open as a B&B for which it is well suited. They still have the website up, so I presume it is still open.

Great food, great location, great host!

We stayed in Mike's Room and it was clean, roomy, had a big bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a big screen tv, air-conditioner, and a balcony over-looking a corn field and their personal vegetable gardens. The owner is welcoming, friendly, and eager to please. She makes an assortment of menu items made to your order. The table was sent and waiting for us to arrive at our designated time.  On the table there was a bowl of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, a tray of jars of homemade blueberry, marmalade, peach, pear, raspberry, and strawberry, and a basket of sliced homemade breads. My husband had the pancakes and they were so light and delicious. She served it with homemade maple syrup. My daughter and I had scrambled eggs with bacon. The whole stay was delightful and should we need a place to stay in the Hartland area we would definitely stay here.
