We enjoyed this as our base for exploring Niagara on the Lake. Veronika will provide you for detailed instructions on how to find her home tucked away right on the Lake. it’s not fancy but it’s a lovely respite. We had a large room with a king size bed and a private balcony overlooking the lake, a great place to hang with a glass of wine or cup of tea in the morning. Veronika is a gracious host and accommodated our request for vegetarian breakfasts. there was so much to eat every morning! 
Our room had a mini fridge and the only issue is a very small shower. note, no TVS her but good internet

delightful stay here

The elderly couple who built this house themselves in decades of hard work is very lovely. Wishes are fulfilled (if they are not too far off...), we had interesting conversations with each other about the origins of the estate, politics in Canada and Europe and much more. Our room was huge (upstairs), had a kingsize bed, a refrigerator and a large upstairs racetrack (balcony would be the wrong expression for this) with beautiful views of the garden and the Ontario. We enjoyed the sunsets. The fridge was rich, with good taste and other daily warm food. We were working here in August, and in this time you can actually sell food in all the neighborhoods right away - a pony to buy in Niagara Falls, but we're still trying to make a stop at our two-hour-long Niagara Falls.

Lovely host, big room, great view

I stayed two nights at this property. The view of the Niagara River is priceless and the waterfalls are only 20 minutes away. The B&B is as welcoming as the owners. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The only drawback is the rooms are a little wet but very large.

Wonderful view

What an exceptional stay!
Beautiful gardens and property on the lake.
It's hard to find this place so keep your eyes peeled and when your GPS says you've gone too far, you have - so go back a wee distance and look for small marking on a hydro poll referencing "B&B".  
Our room was lovely, the bed was very firm and comfortable, except that the king size is two twins together and the ridge between was difficult mostly because of our weight difference.
The room was spacious with plenty of seating.   The patio is comfortable and picturesque.  What a nice treat !
Breakfast was varied and delicious;  cereals, an egg and bacon bake, cheese and fruit and boiled eggs etc.   Great coffee to get us started.
Our hostess and husband are very sweet and thoughtful.  


Delightful!

We rented two rooms here for two nights. The rooms were lower level with walk-outs to a lovely patio with seating and shade, overlooking the lake. It was a little awkward having to go outdoors in order to get to the dining room but fortunately for us, the weather was behaving at breakfast time. The ensuite bathroom was huge but with so much wasted space. The shower was tiny and good easil have been 3 x larger and still leave lots of room in the bathroom.

The bedding is European style which means that you do not have a sheet covering the whole bed (top sheet) nor a blanket but instead, a bottom sheet and then a small comforter which was barely big enough to cover me so it made it feel like I was sleeping alone while my wife was right there next to me.

Breakfast was sort of a buffet style with both hot and cold choices and was good.

The highlight of this place was the hostess, Veronika. Here is a lady who was born to be a hostess. She loves people and loves to talk. Very affable, and extremely interesting.

The location is close to Port Dalhousie which is a pictureesque village on the lake.

I must say that the people of Pt Dalhousie are faantastic. The Lion's Club was hosting Canada Day celebrations at the park and, being strangers, we were assisted by "Glenn" of the Lion's and a couple of the others whose names I did not get. They were great! Thank you gentlemen!

Beautiful location on the water.

This was the first time my wife and I have stayed here, Sat. Sept. 24 -25th.  
The grounds and building is well kept and maintained.
Our host and hostess were very polite and helpful.  The food was excellent.  It certainly had a taste and look of Germany.
The view of Lake Ontario was nice.  In the evening you could see Toronto.
A small problem of finding the B&B.  You must turn onto 600 Firelane Road from Lakeshore Road, West.  There is no signage at the main road.  The B&B is located off the main road for a short distance and hard to see from that location.

A different culture

What a fantastic location and delightful host. Set right on Lake Ontario just a few miles from Niagara on the lake the B&B was set back from the road and so was really peaceful. Our room overlooked the lake and we could clearly see Toronto on the other side. Room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was enormous and very, very tasty with all food homemade and freshly cooked.

Lovely relaxing stay

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous view of Lake Ontario and Toronto on a clear day. Hearty home cooked breakfast was nice.
Hotel itself is quite dated on the interior and not very easy to find from the highway. 
The lady that owns the hotel is German and quite a character! :)
Good value for a short stay and great location close to St Catharines, Niagara on the Lake and the Canadian side of the falls (15-20 min drive - away from all the neon lights!)

Different...!

Thank you again for the 3 beautiful nights in September 2013! We really enjoyed the beautiful room with views of the lake, Mississauga and Toronto, the rich breakfast, the bathing in Lake Ontario and the proximity to many attractions. We enjoyed the personal service very much and would love to come back! Greetings from Germany!
