Our room was very clean and the queen bed was so comfortable!  There was a plug with usb outlets beside the phone on a small desk that came in handy. We liked having a small refrigerator for keeping some breakfast items cold. This is a great place to stay!

Excellent stay for a visit to Stratford!

Very enjoyable stay at Majers for the sixth time!  Located on the outskirts of town but a short drive to the theatres,  Majers is quiet, clean, well -cared -for and reasonably-priced.  Many restaurants in the vicinity but pick up a take-out lunch and have a picnic by the pool.  Will definitely return.

As lovely as ever

Everything was in excellent condition and very neat even the lawn chairs next to the outdoor pool which was also very clean.  The bathroom had extra amenities like hooks for clothes and bath tub bars for safety.  The beds and pillows were fresh and comfortable. I stayed at this motel 30 years ago when I brought students to see Shakespeare - so I know it is old - but the current proprietors have put it in excellent condition. The cost is reasonable and the staff very polite.  Fresh muffins were available when we leftr.

Reasonable, neat, clean, and hospitable lodging!

A clean basic motel with excellent air conditioning and comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms need updating. Friendly reception. Would stay there again when visiting Stratford. Close to all amenities.

Good value motel

We love Majer’s Motel - it is a treasure of a place! We attend the festival several times a year and we stay in Stratford for 3 or 4 nights each time. For the past 8 years Majer’s has exceeded our expectations every time! The rooms are spotlessly clean and well kept throughout our stay. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are just exactly what you need. The mini fridge is a bonus. The pool and grounds are extremely well kept and beautifully landscaped. It is perfectly located just a 5 minute drive to the downtown and the Festival. 
We simply can’t say enough good things about this treasure of a place. It is family owned and operated and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere year after year. We have never been disappointed with our choice of accommodation when in Stratford. It’s simply perfect!

Stratford’s best kept secret!

This motel was very Clean, and quiet. Owners were very friendly people. Continental breakfast was simple but good. Grounds well kept with outdoor pool which we didn’t use but it looked well cared for. 

Great motel

Lovely couple run a great Motel, loved the swimming pool too. Had a very pleasant stay with my sister.  I am from NZ and found motel nice and quiet and  close to all amenties that we used. My sister is Canadian and has been many times at this motel always had a pleasant stay, often with husband and friends.

Best in Stratford

The motel is clean and well maintained, but I was placed in the farthest east room on the property.  I was charged for a second night when I arrived.  I thought I had pre-paid the full amount.  There are no kitchen facilities, other than a small fridge. After staying over one night, I found that someone had splattered blue paint on my car which I had to remove with steel wool.

I wanted to meet my friends at a pub on the second evening.  I walked to Ontario Street and waited at the closest transit stop.  The bus was late.  I walked to another transit stop.  The bus driver passed by me, and a taxi driver ignored me.

Unsatisfactory Experience

Our Room was as good as every time I have stayed there. Clean, Quiet and with enough towels and a small fridge.
This might have been the 30th time I have stayed there with various friends but this time brought my sister visiting from NZ,
We sat outside and had our picnic lunch, and later to read and have a glass of wine (plastic wine glasses) and used the pool one of the nice days.
There is nothing to say negative about our stay and hope to be back next year.

So glad to see Sandra and her husband and that they were busy again.

My partner and I both live in Stratford but decided to treat ourselves to a staycation locally for one night. We were delighted that we chose Majer's Motel!

The online booking process was very easy and straightforward; within minutes of submitting our reservation we received our confirmation email. I will also mention that the price was more than reasonable, especially considering we're in the middle of Festival Theatre/tourist season.

When we arrived at the motel, we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming older lady who was a delight to talk with. The check in process literally took minutes but we were delighted with the service.

Our room was clean and cozy, with a vintage yet modern vibe to the decor. All appliances were new and in working condition and the WiFi and cable were in order. Unfortunately due to the cooler than average weather, we didn't stay in the outdoor pool for long, though it wasn't for lack of trying!

We will certainly return next time we want a night away from the ordinary. We are always happy to support local businesses and this is a hidden gem for Stratford 😊
