What a wonderful discovery! this is our first time but certainly not the last! the owners are very kind and very welcoming! the children were delighted to discover their bed on the mezzanine of our room! nature is on our way and we took the opportunity to slide up the hill.

What a welcome!

This a place worthwhile to visit. If you look for a relaxing place this is the one. The owner is extremely helpfully and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you look for a TV its not here, which is sometimes a blessing. The WiFi works well but the connection may take a couple of minutes, but than I had no problems with it. The continental breakfast is sufficient. It is as well a child friendly place and there is enough space for them on the property. Just a couple of minutes out of town.
We certainly enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful retreat

This was a very comfortable place to stay.  It is out of the way.  Easy to find during the day.   However the second sign should be lit at night as it is very dark in the countryside.  The breakfast was excellent despit it being a continental.  Coffee was good as were the croissants.

Friendly service

I had high hopes for this Auberge based on the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor.

I used the Auberge as a base for a cycling holiday mid-august August. My plan was to explore the area by bike for a couple of days before pedalling back to Montreal on my final day.

As a solo traveller, I was looking forward to some of the activities that were mentioned in previous posts (e.g., great lounge area, farm animals, views of the valley, etc.)

Unfortunately, the inn has changed hands and the lodgings are in a single dormitory style bunkhouse. More like a hostel than a rustic Swiss Auberge.

My room was actually very comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed falling asleep to the sound of crickets and the occasional owl.

Breakfast was pretty good; excellent croissants and muffins. I really appreciated the energy buds that powered my bike rides.

On my last day, a group arrived at 8:30 for a business conference and took over the hostel. They took over the breakfast area and several people walked into my room as I was getting packed up for my day's ride. 

I found it very strange that I was rushed out of my room before 9 a.m. when check out is usually 11 a.m.

The new owners seem like nice people. The Auberge needs more amenities including a breakfast/ longer area and some more attention to the needs of their guests.

Unimpressed

It's an easy place to find. It's out of Sutton, in the wild and quiet. It's amazing. It's like a friend's house. The rooms are very clean and well decorated.

That's perfect!

Intimate rooms, well-located hostel, a few minutes from the village's activities, with all the tranquility of nature in all its splendor! The hostels are hyper welcoming! If you like to enjoy outdoor opportunities, you will be well served! Good stay! to do it again absolutely!

A warm hostel in the countryside for nature lovers!

We went there 2 years ago!  Heidi the owner and chef is amazing.  The homes/rooms are decorated well, clean, and she knows how to entertain.  She even sang one night with her family.  She yodels!   It was a swiss mini moment!    When we adopted our baby, we called her personally to tell her the news.  Next year we are going back with our 2 children and extended family/friends.

A golden nugget!

My husband and I first discovered this treasure about 25 years ago before we had children.  We have returned yearly since, sometimes a few times a year.  Here we feel, not like guests, but like family.  Our two boys have so many wonderful memories of this unique place.  We have visited both in winter for skiing and in summer for hiking and swimming in the pond.  We even introduced Schweizers to our parents and my inlaws visited several times when they were able to still travel.  The scenery, the atmosphere, the food and fellowship are all fantastic.  When our children were young, visits to the barn to see the horses, goats, chickens and rabbits were popular.  One year we were lucky enough to be there during the maple sugaring.  Our older son helped keep the fire going and did some canning of the syrup.  I would not hesitate to recommend Schweizers to anyone.  While you are there you  truly  feel like family.
