This place is  pretty awesome. If your expecting a 5 star hotel ,go elsewhere however, Myself and many friends ,over the years have stayed at Beachfront resort, I have never ,ever had an issue with this hotel , had a fabulous time ,each and every time. The owners are renovating each unit and they now have air conditioning. The  staff are wonderful! Location is awesome!  Don't be swayed by the negative reviews, I'm a Fussy person.this hotel exceeded my expectations. The price is decent as well.thank you Beachfront resort for the wonderful experience again.i will be back soon!

Rip off. Told me I was getting a good deal when I booked it. Advertising on marketplace and Facebook a better room for $475 a week, while I’m paying $650 a week. smaller room than marketplace, advertisement, I had to go and buy my own toaster, doesn’t have a lot of necessary, kitchen supplies, does have good selection of color.  Old fridge has duct tape on doors, runs all night, long, Noisy building. Room is a mess of mismatched furniture, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink on same counter, room full of spiders, and I have to raid it every night. Complained to management about room on after first night, and they would not refund me the rest of my stay, I had to pre-pay upfront for two weeks. Wasn’t told this over the phone before I got there. Still haven’t given me a copy of an invoice explaining cost.  This is not a place to stay! The Raccoon Lodge 2 Doors down Way better service, and way better motel!

New owners are amazing beautiful caring people! They are doing such an amazing job making updates bit by bit! This place is like home & welcoming with open arms Amazing place for family and kids to play and burn energy and relaxing in front of the fire pit ♥️

Stayed there the end of May. Was quoted one price and when I went to pay the damage deposit, the lady even wrote down the "agreed on price" on the written receipt.  But when I went to check in a couple days later, a guy was working and he upped the price by $250!! I didn't even get the room that I was originally shown and promised.
Went to my room...there were holes in the walls, tuffs of animal hair on the bedsheets, stains on the rug, the AC didn't work, hot water didn't work, room smelled of smoke eventhough they are supposed to be non-smoking rooms, way too many things wrong with this place to list!!
I was there for 30 minutes and went to the office and he refused to give my money back! 
I talked to some other people that were staying there and they got ripped off too!!!

STAY AWAY!!! These people Do Not go by the innkeepers act and are Filthy Lies.   I was told by the owner I could stay for 30 days for $1100. Then I get here. They Booked out my room. Then told me I had to pay another $200 Even though I HAVE IT WRITTEN RECEIPT.  They Tried to say it was my Writing.  Then instead of a $50 deposit for my cat, They Then daid I had to pay $150 . They said their is a/c Not in the north side. The Garbage is over Filled and Stinks.  I Watched them rent out the same room 3 different nights in a row and I didn't see them clean the room. I asked for my Money Back after 3 hours of staying here !! They refused! Found clumps of hair in my bedding.  Reaks of Smoke!   I talked to other people that live here. And some guests.  They all been lied too. It's a common thing to be ripped off here. ANYBODY THAT READS THIS. or Stayed here. Follow up with the   Consumer Investigation Unit and phone Alberta Lodging.  You may be entitled to compensation.  NOTHING WORKS In this Place. DO NOT STAY HERE !! I'll be Following up with the innkeepers act  C.I.U O,Hand S, the fire inspector, and the Health Inspector! They are NOT FOLLOWING Any Of these. Oh and I may even Sure them.

Wish i would of read the reviews.... WARNING. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIERS AND YOU Don't GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. THE PICTURES AND THE PRICES ARE BS. We were told we would get a very spacious and comfortable room to stay in for 1200 for 30 days.. Lies lies lies. We came down to rent the room not to mention a 250 deposit but we were told it was gonna be 1400 now. We were able to afford that but now we wont be able to actually enjoy the 30 days. So go to to pay and what do you know 1525.... Now we are in a really hard spot.. An EXTRA 325 on top of a 250 deposit.. Very unprofessional place. Well we got a two bed hotel room no stove no space.. Room stinks like its been smoked in for years but they promise this is a non smoking room. Rooms so gross i will not be taking my shoes off.. No pets... I seen 2 dogs come outa this place. No room serves what so ever. Was told no one will be coming up to our room for our stay for 30 days... Not even to wash the towels. We have to find a laundry Matt.. Don't EVER come here for a vacation stay far away. BETTER TO JUST SLEEP IN YOUR CAR OR EVEN DRIVE 30 MINS OUTA TOWN FOR A BETTER STAY and this is only day 1 of 30.....

Wish I didn’t even have to give it one star! Run as fast as you can from this place. I cannot emphasize this enough DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We recently stayed here for 3 days. Not only is it overpriced for what you get. The beds were disgusting and smelt so bad. The sheets on the bed weren’t even fitted sheets and kept falling off. The bathroom toilet made a sound every time you used it. The shower is so small it’s like a little claustrophobic box. They clearly never clean these rooms. The smell got so bad eventually couldn’t handle staying any longer. Brought it up to the front desk and they were extremely rude about it. We had paid them $500 for a week originally because our original plan was to stay there for a bit while we were waiting to close on our house. We only stayed 3 nights. They refused to give our money back, even at the cost they said a night they would at least owe us $245 minimum back. Their only response to us however was that they didn’t cater to people like us. Like what is that supposed to mean. Someone that wants a clean room for their family. My poor one daughter actually wound up sick because of this place. Not just that but you could hear people screaming at each other all the time. We were not the only ones leaving because of the rooms. There were multiple families leaving at the same time. I don’t understand how this place even stays in business. Should be shut down! I would rather sleep in my car at least I know it’s clean!

You won’t be staying here for any kind of luxury, let’s get that out of the way. Dated, rough around the edges, well used, very tight. But let’s be real, if you are simply looking for a place to sleep and nothing more, this place is just fine. And the customer service is great. 

Serviceable room, great location

Apparently I got one of the 2 rooms that haven't been remodeled. I couldn't handle the cigarette smoke that comes through the forced air system. It was ridiculous... you could stand below each ceiling vent & get the full effect of someone else's smoking. It was ridiculous... there were occasional breaks between cigarettes being smoked, but I developed a sore throat within 3 hours of being in the room. Not a good place for anyone who's sensitive to smoke.

Couldn't get any sleep

One of the cheaper places to stay in town and given the price, we were not expecting a lot but were surprised by the level of service from the owners who bent over backwards to accommodate us.
Not the nicest room we've stayed in while visiting the town but easily the best located, right opposite the lake, right in the middle of things.  It does mean things can get noisy.

Overall, the place would benefit from some modernisation but at this price point and location, it's difficult to pick fault.
