Very comfortable and cute pavilion for one couple.  Clean room and very accommodating host.  We booked last minute and had no issues checking in.  Nice view out back with patio chairs.  Merci, auberge maison gagné.

Road trip

My husband and I stayed here last summer.  We had a very warm welcome and were delighted with our "room", a separate cabin behind the auberge, beautifully decorated.  The breakfast the next morning was wonderful too.  I highly recommend the Auberge.

Wonderful!

My husband and I reserved for one night during the whale watching off-season, and found our hostess so accommodating  that we stayed for a second night. She made excellent recommendations of where to go/eat in the surrounding area, and was very personable. The rooms are small but impeccably clean. The back yard stretches down to a beautiful little lake which is visible from some of the rooms. Breakfast, at only $7/person, was varied and plentiful, and some of the tables look out over the fjord.  We would definitely stay there if we come back. Dedicated Parking spots for each room. Walking distance to the village and beach.

Warm and Welcoming

This BnB is ten on ten for our two-night stay in Aug 2021. The entire property is aesthetically and appropriately decorated. Not only the room but the whole property is sparkling clean, including the common areas. We were given a room at upstairs, from which the view of the lake is partially visible. The bed is extra comfy (even we asked from where they procure the bed linens). Their breakfast is yummy (at the same time healthy), served promptly, and made with locally sourced ingredients.

Another asset for this BnB is their staff. Their politeness and effort in making our stay comfortable have exceeded our expectations. In fact, if I have to rate and compare this BnB with our recent visits, we would put this one in the first place and wouldn't hesitate to return staying again (or recommend anybody).

Fabulous stay at Tadoussac

We booked our trip in Jan2021 in the midst of the Pandemic after 12 months of being cooped up at home, not knowing where we would be at in July regarding the whole situation. We needed to go away...safely... 

We found this hotel and we cannot say enough good about the accommodations and friendliness of our hostess Hela. 

No room in the main dining room for breakfast?? ... Promptly she offers to set us up on the terrasse by the little lake at the back of the property !  

We could not attend 1 breakfast due to an early outing? no problem, double portion on the next one !! (for "we paid for it" and she would not hear anything else about refusing!!!)

We saw her local soap-maker display and wanted some items? no problem, she was ready to run up to the soap-maker herself and get us to what we wanted!  

Even the parking spots are assigned to rooms, so no more looking around for a free spot upon returning from an excursion or squeezing in too-tight spots. Your spot is there waiting for you just as Hela is. And even when you cross Hela on the street in the village, she will make a detour to come up to you and chat, giving you the best tips on to enjoy your stay even more.

This is what I call an above-excellent customer experience:  catering to the needs of your clients and go not 1 but 2 extra-miles further to have them what they want.  

Even Snow White the cat and Chip the Chippendale make sure you get the most local and homey welcome.. 

Now, let's talk room and lay-of-the-land: literally just up the hill from the ferry, and 5 minutes walking distance from the core (Hotel Tadoussac and a plethora of restaurants and boutiques) and 10 minutes -top - to the beach. The backyard is set with several lawn chairs and tables looking out on the quietest  - swimmable - little lake and fantastic mountain backdrop.

Indeed, we found the paradise not only in the location but also in the quality of service we got. And after this pandemic, this was certainly what we were looking and aiming for: being treated as friends and family all in safety.

Do not miss this opportunity if you are in the area.

A new favorite to our list of B&B --By far ! And Hela our new friend

This B&B is very “European”: small rooms (& bathroom) but larger (so to speak) in terms of charm and details — like the incredible bed with lovely linen. It is located on the main access road to the ferry but has some rooms and 2 cabins that do not face the road. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room in the back. The hostess is absolutely charming and helpful — with a great breakfast. 

Best Bed EVER in this European Style B&B

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with the bonus of a coffee machine. Our hostess kindly suggested a pleasant walk and recommended some good places for dinner.
There was a lovely garden edging onto a lake. Each room had its own allocated parking space in the grounds of the Auberge.
Breakfast was amazing- ‘A smile on a plate’ served with a smile. We only wished we could’ve stayed longer.

Wonderful hospitality

There was so much to like about AMG: generous and welcoming hosts (including Snow White the cat), massive breakfasts, beautiful grounds, very comfortable beds.  The rooms/baths are small but very clean and well-equipped. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, and hiking trails above the harbor (although you may have to dodge ferry traffic at times to get your car in and out). We would definitely stay here again when in Tadoussac.

Don't miss Snow White

The hosts and accommodation at the Auberge Maison Gagne were wonderfully welcoming and warmly comfortable. The highlight for sure were our beautifully presented breakfasts that were prepared with sumptuous ingredients and love. Bravo to all the staff at the auberge for making our stay in Tadoussac such a memorable experience!

A BNB Above and Beyond

They didn’t get 5 stars for nothing.  
Great hospitality, great breakfast.  
Will be back. 
The host is the most pleasant person, everything is spotless.  You would think that it’s noisy near the road, but it’s not.  
We slept well.
