We stopped here as a place to rest our heads on our Ottawa ON - Green Bay WI road trip.

I saw the pics online and really wanted to stay here to experience it's retro charm.

We were not disappointed.

First off - the owners are warm and friendly. Our room was very clean.

We stayed in room 18 - one of the two executive suites. One room had two double beds and the other a queen. Both featured decor that was straight out of the late 60s-70s. It was fantastic. Like staying at my grandma's house when I was a kid all over again!
The televisions were modern and had apps. My husband and I stumbled over  "The Price is Right" (with Bob Barker!) on Pluto and it totally completed the trip-back-in-time feel.

We were at the Red Top Motor Inn for 10 hours but now that the trip is over, it's an experience we've already retold to family and friends several times.

Loved it! Memories made! Would visit again!

Clean! Good night sleep! Fantastic retro vibe!

Although the decor is dated.   It was pretty neat to feel the nostalgia of that time period.   Even thoughy it has some dated decor, the rooms are very clean. They do have some updates amenities.  The beds have updated mattresses that are comfortable.  New, smart TVs with wifi for Netflix, Prime, etc., larger refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers.  The owners are very nice, pleasant, accommodating and even will open the restaurant for breakfast at an hour of your choosing.  The breakfast and dinners were absolutely superb.   Whether it was the standard restaurant food or the delicious, authentic Indian cuisine.   If you judge this book by its cover, you will miss out on a wonderful place, trapped in time.

A great motel with a nostalgic feel.

Terrible. I wish I had read the dates of the good reviews. This place was sold in 2021, and I didn't notice that the reviews were mostly before then. The person that checked us in was very unwelcoming, especially after we had driven 10 hours to get there. As soon as we opened the door to the room there was this awful chemical smell. I went to grab a blanket from a shelf and a family of flies flew out of if. There was bugs crawling throughout the carpets. The pillows smelt as though they had never been cleaned. Blankets on the bed were hard and scratchy. And no accessibility in or out of the shower. i.e. a grab bar. Which is not good if you have a hard time stepping in and out of a bathtub/shower. We were scheduled to stay 2 nights but couldn't wait to check out after our first night there.

Not a good experience

A little dated but very clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely nice and very hard working to keep the motel maintained. The food is delicious. Hamburgers are home-made. Prices are fair. Would return for sure.

Great!

This is a very small town, so being able to have access to incredible Indian food now is such a treat. Not only does this restaurant have a nice selection of delicious Indian meals, they also put the food  in eco-friendly packaging, so guilt free take out. We had the Aloo Gobi and Mutter Paneer. If you are spice shy (we are not) you may want to say mild.

Great food!

It is an older place but it's pet friendly and very clean! The service is amazing and the food was delicious! I would stay here again anytime. Great stop if you driving to Sault Ste Marie. Free Wifi and good channel selection.

Great place!

We stopped over here on the way west and have always been very pleased with the meals. For a small town in Northern Ontario this is the place to stop for any meal on the road. Presentation is as good as the finest gourmet locations we have been in large cities. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended. Hotel rooms are retro but
comfortable. 

Excellent Food

This place was great. Safe area where i felt comfortable sleeping. Cute, cottage feel. The restaurant was delicious. The hotel owner was very humble, friendly, and accommodating. The surrounding area is beautiful to check out for a sunset or bike ride. 

Thoroughly enjoyed

This was a last minute booking, room was old but fairly comfy, the top blankets were a bit scratchy for me, but had a good sleep! And the breakfast restaurant was good and fresh! Was a good night sleep!

Old but clean

We were traveling home and its quite the journey our original plan was to stop in sault st marie. Unfortunately the hotels were all booked couldnt get a room anywhere so we continued on our journey it was late at night and getting tired. We found this motel and read quickly the reviews and agreed to try it . We have 2 kids with us so we need a big room. The kind gentleman had a perfect room its 2 bedrooms . The one bedroom had 2 beds for the kids and then bathroom between the other room that had queen size bed. The rooms are bit dated and things are showing age such as bathroom the toilet especially is old the seat is discoloured also the blankets on the bed are very old and very itchy. But the sheets were clean and comfy. Basically its a clean quiet motel no noise and no sign of any bugs or gross things you usually find in a off highway motel. Thank you for the awesome stay and it was a great price for a 2 bedroom hotel room. Also in the morning we decided to try the restaurant. Its small and cozy very nice and clean. White tablecloths and cloth napkins. We had the apple pancakes they were so fresh and delicious. The coffee also was best coffee i had this whole trip we been over 2000 km and first good coffee was here.  Anyways these people are doing it all right. Nice clean quiet motel and nice clean and amazing food at the restaurant. Highly reccomend if your travelling and need a good place to stop also great for families because our kids had a great sleep here and loved having their own room

Awesome restaurant and motel. Looks can be de decieving it looks run down but its really not just older
