Super clean rooms, easy access to rooms with minimal contact needed with other guests! The Hotel owners are incredibly accommodating. Second time visiting Valemount and would definitely recommend! This place looks recently updated with quartz counters, great location, access to printer and computer to print documents - overall great place! 

Great Stay!

We arrived in Valemount from Victoria, having decided that was enough driving for one day on our way back to Edmonton. We arrived as a walk-in and were pleasantly surprised by the amenities this motel had to offer. We had a double queen room on the second floor at the rear of the accommodation and a quirky, private balcony where we sat out with a glass of Chardonnay and stargazed. There was a hot tub/patio (which we didn’t use) and continental breakfast was included in the price. There was an ample selection of cereals, yoghurt, pastries, muffins, waffles, bread for toasting etc - by far the best we’ve experienced in similar style accommodations. All staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and we’d certainly stay here again when next in town.

Quirky chalet style motel

What a find, a small town , staff/owner was so friendly, room has all you need, coffee maker, lacked a fridge, but was not warm so not an issue, maybe they should when it is warm,  , lovely balconies some just look on to trees , but still lovely to sit outside, the women was rushing about so much to make sure things were good, such a friendly person we had a laugh about the time difference between mountain time and Pacific time in the morning , such a pleasure to stay there, our thanks to this lady for making it such a pleasant stay , to short though 

What a lovely place in this small town, staff/owner so friendly 

Looks a little rough on the outside, an older motel. Once you get to your room you will be pleasantly surprised by new mattresses and linen and the updates that have been done with more ongoing in common areas. Clean, comfortable with pleasant front desk service.

Good pace for your stop along highway 5

Be sure to check in before you lug in the bags - you may be assigned a room around the back. We had a balcony, and if it matters to some, smoking actually permitted on it (wall-mount ashtray provided).
Walked across the parking lot to The Moose Pub, which is just fine, albeit a little behind the times on COVID practices (no staff masks).
The hallways are long and kind of creepy - stay away from Stephen King films while visiting. The breakfast was sadly lacking - just a few spotted bananas and some stale buns. Cereal, but no bowls. Milk in the fridge, shared and touched by everyone.

Fine sleep at a good price

There is nothing spectacular about this motel, but it serves its purpose, which is to provide a clean and comfortable room and a good night's sleep. At a decent price, to boot. I particularly appreciated the good lighting so I could read in the evening.
This was our second visit to Valemount and our second stay here.

Perfectly Acceptable

Stayed here one night recently while travelling between Vancouver and Edmonton.  I travel between Vancouver and Edmonton a few times each year.  This is the first time I have stayed at the Chalet Continental but it won't be the last.  It is quite a lot less expensive than most of the other motels in the area but provides everything you need for an overnight stay.  The outside perhaps does not look as nice as some of the other local properties but the rooms were clean, quite, well appointed and recently updated.  We stayed upstairs on the back side of the building, so no highway noise. Although, for some reason, trains seem to sound their horns all throughout the night - this impacts the whole town.  Good value for money.

Great Value

We had a good stay in this hotel. Friendly owner and good service. The room was big, also the bed. Clean and not noisy in the evening. Good coffee machine and the breakfast was oke ( with fruits). There is enough parking place,

A Good Hotel

Rooms aren’t fancy but clean and well equipped. Good for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value. Only thing to watch for - when booking for family of 4 there was an add on charge of $20 for an “extra” person ( in a room with 2 double beds). This was not as advertised. Nevertheless I would recommend this place. 

Nice place 

We stayed overnight, en route to Vancouver Island. The room (second floor) was very clean. The night staff woman on duty was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a quiet stay. 

You may notice that the side doors are scuffed from many suitcases bumping into them. Parking was also a bit tight, but manageable. 

The rate was $145/night. Acceptable. 

Overall, I'd recommend this as a place to stay in Valemount. It's also a short walk from the restaurants along the highway. Very convenient.
