Happy staff at the desk with a smile. 
Great large quiet room and very clean,  a lovely comfortable bed. A great breakfast with fruit,  orange juice, white and brown bread, waffles with maple syrup and muffins. Would recommend this howl for a nice stay.

Well worth staying here.

No AC. Beds are falling apart. Vary dirty. The rooms are hot. Full of bugs in hall and rooms. The worst hotel I have ever been to in North America. Will never ever come back to this hotel again. I recommend anything over this place.   

Horrible

You get what you pay for, our rooms were very cheap so there’s not much to complain about. The outside of the hotel looks a bit sketchy, and the the rooms are dated. Check in was easy and nice and the staff was available to help us at anytime. I wouldn’t stay there for more than 1 night but it’s a good pit stop if you just want to sleep and not spend much money. Everything was clean. Pizza restaurant in the building was delicious. The trains will definitely wake you up every 2h even if your windows are closed, so beware. 

Good cheap pit stop

We were slightly concerned the trains would be an issue but we had a good nights sleep. We had a room at the side of the hotel, it was clean and having a coffee maker and fridge was useful too. I’d stay again

Good hotel for the price

My debit card was scammed when I paid for my room (BEFORE seeing it) and my account was drained in small increments for 5 days before I noticed. The damn BAR is the "front desk". New owners were there, hopefully they fire every single person who "works" there (minus the pizza place, that was amazing) and bulldoze this dump.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last week of our Rockie mountains road trip - and we booked this place 6 months ahead. When we first arrived I could not believe I would sleep here, but it was a very long day and very late so we stayed for a night. The place smells like old cigarettes, the room is very worn down and the carpet is old and dusty. It also has "nice surprise" - something that looks like mouse poison in the bathroom.
The mattresses here are indeed a box spring - your back would kill you next morning in case you would be able to sleep at all because of the trains passing and honking next to your window.
On day 3 they stopped any cleaning and towel change...
We asked our friends to put us on the floor in their cottage and it was a much better accommodation than this sh***y hotel. 
Enjoy your stay if you must.

Absolutely horrible

I rated this hoping that people know that they are getting what they pay for, this is clearly not a 5-star hotel but the rating should be more so of how well your expectations carried over. At first we were wary, but the rooms had fans, and were clean, and the owner was always around. When we ran out of toilet paper he ran upstairs with more himself. "It's ok!" we said. "No, it's not, there should of been extra" he said. He was also the bartender I think lol, and made us delicious caesars while we talked with him for over an hour. It was during the week so no one was really there but there is a liquor store, a pizza parlour, and a pub with a karaoke floor. The hotel is also a few minutes walk from downtown Valemount, as well as some nice hikes in the area like Swift Creek Lookout! The owner was such an interesting and kind fellow, he had come to Denmark and this hotel is his baby, though he's ready to retire now on his hobby farm with his wife. Yes, you will hear the horn all night, and no, there is no AC. But you are paying for something cheap for whatever your adventure has taken you there for, and the place is good and owned by a good-hearted person. Who makes darn good caesars!!!

Great little hotel for a single person, clean and friendly, easy access, great little restaurant. Beautiful area as I was just driving through. Would stop here again. Parking was easy. Clean and friendly

Drive thru

After reading various reviews about this place, we were a bit dubious about our booking! However we were totally pleased with our stayed! The rooms are very big, with all the facilities you would need and the hotel is located a short walk from the town centre! 
The trains can be a bit loud at first but in time it adds to the stay in a very beautiful and quaint town!

Does the job!

Great value for money... it is an old pub on the edge of town with rooms which are basic, clean with pvte bathroom.  Only a 5 min walk to a supermarket and the local craft beer brewery. Caribou Grill restaurant also 5 mins walk...  However if you are a light sleeper this is not the place for you.  The train line is across the road and they run all through the night.  Otherwise a good stay and value compared to what else is in the region.
