I never have high expectations for budget-friendly hotels, but this was getting pretty close to the bottom. Basic toiletries such as shampoo and an extra roll of toilet paper were unavailable. No coffee was supplied with the room, even though the room had a coffee maker. Again, these are small things that are pretty standard/basic amenities in most hotels. Room was relatively clean though and the bed was satisfactory. Staff were friendly and there were no issues with check-in. Location was convenient with good access to major highways and near the airport. Overall though, this hotel was a mediocre experience and not worth what I paid for it.

I believe they rent the rooms by the hour as some sleazy guests arrived and left a little while later and did not return. Also, it’s a place for “hook ups”, I saw it with my own eyes, lol.
Will never, ever recommend this dump to anyone.

This inn is below normal standards

Due to a cancelled flight my wife that is disabled and I booked one night accommodation to ease the stress of our long journey.
Not onlv we were placed on the second floor with screaming kids most of the night but no telephone to contact the manager with no tv channels working, no hot water to shower, bath or wash your face, no coffee or tea in the morning!
I walked 15 minutes to the next hotel and gave me complimentary tea,
The manager finial said the hot water pump was broken a view days ago and maybe “ Shaw engineers were working on it for a few days,
When asked if I could have some compensation for the 157 cd I paid he said to contact the people I booked with!
I am disgusted with his unprofessional behaviour !!!
If he or some one else that might be above him please contact me and at least give me a good explanation of not telling me the truth in the first place rather than say I will go an reset the heater!

Horrible Experience!

Disgustingly gross... to start, we pulled in and the grounds were overgrown and messy, the grass was at least a foot high, it felt more like I was pulling into a housing complex, there were children's toys and bikes scattered all over outside and the grounds were not taken care of at all.  The parking lot didnt seem too bad, but we got there when it was dark, so we didnt notice that part.. whatever that doesn't even matter!  Some guy comes in behind us, pulls in the spot beside us and rushes to get out to go in, I waited for him to get out of his car, and then got out of my vehicle, the light was still on in his car and I noticed a 15/16 yr old girl in the passenger seat, no big deal, guy and his daughter, none of my business.  We go into the check in office behind him, he asks for a room for the night, the lady is looking in her computer for availability, he says "I really only need it for about 2 hours" instantly my son, who is 18, and I look at eachother in disgust and realize that is not his daughter. The lady explained they had no availability, he left, got in his car and went and parked over beside a large work van in the parking lot, to do what I'm sure you can all imagine, he needed to be done.  Anyways, I pay and the lady gives us our room key "242", we went out to get my husband and our luggage, feeling really unsure.  We went up to our room and when we got in, it was not fancy by all means but it smelt and looked clean.  We decided to check the bed for bugs after a review we had seen earlier, and no bugs, but there were nasty stains on the bedsheets, right where someone's face would be on the pillow area.  Their was a huge white crusty stain on the carpet right where you would sit at the side of the bed, there was white and black mold on the carpet under the fridge and the carpet was wet, there was mold in the bathroom in the corners of the wall... spiderwebs and hairs all in behind the bathroom door and behind the toilet! The sofabed where my son was supposed to sleep, firstly, the couch was dated but whatever, a huge sorta like brown stain on the cushion.. he was not sleeping directly on the cushions but on the bed, so we take the cushion off and the entire opposite side, like they were trying to hide it? had a huge white crusty dried up stain on it... omg so nasty, we could not put the cushion back peoperly for fear of catching an STI, then we pull out the bed, looked like it possibly was never slept on, lifted up the sheets and found a long brown weird stain on the side of the bed, not just that, in our description we had put 3 people to stay, there was just a sheet on the sofabed, no fitted sheets or blankets to cover up with, not to mention under the sofa bed was full of dust and pieces of garbage and hair.  Both windows in the room, no screens, were wide open when we went in, the sill had major water damage the paper was welting up from the water damage.  The air conditioner/air system, was so dirty with dust and god knows what living inside.  I turned on the tap in the bathroom and it made a loud popping sound, like a big air bubble was in the line, it made me jump and sorta scream.  A sign on the wall in the bathroom, "NO POTABLE WATER DO NOT DRINK". They left one bottle of water on the desk, for all 3 of us to share? I mean you are a motel with no potable water, you would think they could at least leave us with minimum 3 bottles of water, I mean it is a necessity of life.. FFS.  The mirror in the bathroom had the strangest moldy look from the bottom about 3 to 4 inches in height, the entire length, not sure what would cause the actual mirror to do that.  There was water damage in the ceiling, the ironing board.... I would never iron my clothes on it, nasty stains all over it.  Needless to say, we stayed for approximately 15 minutes before we decided we had to just make the 4 hour trip home.  I went to the front desk and waited a few minutes, not too long, for someone to notice we were there.  It was a different person, a man this time.  I explained to him about the room and how I will not let my son sleep on that disgusting couch, I showed him the pictures I took, to prove to him it was not healthy to sleep in these conditions.  He did not offer a new room, which I already knew from the intro to our visit, nor did he seem to care at all, just looked at like I had 5 heads.  I asked for a full refund and he flat out refused and told me to call Expedia, I actually booked through hotels.com, he said to call them and they would refund me.  That is what I did, they were easy to deal with and hopefully will work on getting me a refund from this nasty hotel owner.  **Warning, this place is not somewhere you want to stay.  I wish I had never even had this experience at all, I get the shivers and heebie jeebies when I think about the fact that I stepped in that nasty stain on the floor.  I don't write reviews, I frown on them usually, because I think.. "oh thats just that 2 or 3 people, who expect the world".. this is real, I don't stay in many hotels/motels, it is quite rare.  But I would advise to stay far away from here... not only because of the unhealthy human bodily fluids spewed all over the room and bed and mold etc.  also, there is no freakin drinkable water!!!

We stayed in room 112...the most discusting experience ever....bathroom was discusting I cloroxed it myself before using it...I dont think from the look of it that the toilet seat had been cleaned in weeks....no top sheet....tv didn't work...requested another sheet 4 times but never received it...we slept in our clothes and I brought blankets in from my car...I will  be putting a complaint in to the health department...they should be shut down...DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS FILTH HOLE...IF YOUR SMART...quick to take your money.... but responding to a complaint ....no kapeesh ....

Absolutely disgusting! We checked in at 3pm, and left for a wedding. First impression is like many other reviews. The smell of cigarette smoke in the room hits you as soon as you open the door. With that being said We Returned to our room past midnight tired and ready for bed, only to find a bunch of bed bugs crawling around the blanket, pillows, and side wall!!  I took a video, but unfortunately  only photos can be posted and so not do it justice. There were approximately 10 bed bugs that we saw just from the top layer without looking under the next layers. It should be noted that the staff leave at 11pm and there is a phone number listed for room key issues. I called and told the guy we just got in and there were bed bugs all over. He denied the fact that they have any until I told him they were all over and I had a video. I was told there are no more rooms available and Won’t be refunded until the next day. This is extremely inconvenient as it was 1am with 300$ short until the next day, and no place to stay for the night. I ended up sleeping in my car for the night. Avoid this place!!

My review: 
When I first arrived it was pretty late at night, because of a delayed flight.  I had a reservation, so I attempted to enter the office but it was locked.  There was only a sign saying "key trouble call:" and a phone number.  I called the number and told them I was in the lobby but the door was locked. The clerk told me that check in is 11:00 (it was about midnight) and then said nothing else (just breathing).  They didn't even offer a solution until I asked.

Very, very, very dirty.  Starting outside, I was in a room at the end of the building.  Directly around the corner from my room were a couple of torn open garbage bags, their contents strewn around.  When I first noticed it, there was a family of skunks rooting through it.  Also outside, directly to the right of my entrance there was an old dresser (same style as the furniture in the room), a broken bar fridge (broken apart, not just not functional) and an old mattress stuffed in a stairwell that must lead to a cellar of some kind under the hotel.
Entering the room, there were huge drip marks on the door from something having been spilled and allowed to dry on the door.  As the door opened to my non-smoking room, the overwhelming smell of ancient cigarette smoke hit me.  Inside I was treated to more surprises.  The first thing I noticed was the broken lampshade (looks fine unless you turn the lamp on), then the six cigarette burns in the middle of the desk.  Looking around I saw the cobwebs with dead bugs caught in them and the bed with a fitted sheet and a bedspread, no top sheet, no blanket.
As I was cleaning the cobwebs off of the ceiling and walls I noticed the number of drip marks all over the microwave, fridge, exit door, bathroom door and every wall in the place. I think this is also the first time I have stayed in a hotel with no phone and no alarm clock.
The washroom kind of reminded me of a gas station washroom.  The kind with the outside entrance and a key chained to a cinder block.  The mirror was covered in drip marks at the bottom, so that is the spit of other people, and at the top, probably also spit.  I wasn't surprised that the toilet was also filthy, it had a big brown ring around the top of the water in the bowl and didn't flush until I repaired the mechanism.  The drains in the sink and the tub were completely rusted with all of the chrome long since eroded away.  These can be replaced from home Depot for less then $10 a drain and are an easy do it yourself for an owner who takes any pride in their business.
The morning was also a treat. I love a luke warm shower with water so hard I was probably cleaner before the shower.  No soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no tissues.
This hotelier needs to take a long look in the mirror.  This kind of neglect is a reflection of the owner and clearly this owner hates their self from deep in their core.

The Vaughan Inn.  Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

No hot water no remote for TV. Management is trash. Told me to go somewhere else . Don't go to this garbage hotel. 
Dirty and sand rooms. No reception  after 11, how cheap can you be. Pay someone to be there to address issue like no hot water. Will be contacting BBB

Horrible hotel

Ok 1st. You turn into the parking lot. There's canyon size pot holes in the driveway. Check in we're walking out of the office and see an ice machine. I asked if that was the only ice machine. The guy behind the counter said yes. We go to our room. 2 key cards. 1 didn't work at all. The other 5 tries before it worked. Go in the room. It was clean but smelled of cigarette smoke. Look for the ice bucket. None found. Go back to the office to get a bucket and ice. Same guy. "The ice machine doesn't work. But you can go buy ice from the store.' Back from the store go to the washroom. No towels. Back to the office. He says you'll see the maid cart. Ask the guy for towels. Got towels. Now to iron my pants. No iron. Back to the office. They actually had an iron. Although I think it was the managers personal one. Figured  we relax watch a bit of TV. TV goes on but no service. Maybe listen to the radio. No radio. So we went to our party got back. The bed was comfortable. Got up in the morning and went to make a complimentary coffee. No sugar no cream nothing but the coffee pods. I'm really not hard to please. But I expect the absolute basics. Gave it a 2 for the bed and room clean. But like the other person said. Pay a bit extra and stay somewhete else.

The Worst

Absolute worst experience. There was garbage all over the property. Room was clean however there was no running water. Could not shower or flush the toilet. It was inexpensive but cannot do without bare necessities
