I stayed recently and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owner is friendly and helpful.
The bed is comfortable, hostel is kept  clean and  offers great private rooms with small fridge, TV and queen sized beds. I stayed in the dorm room.
I would definatly stay here again.

Great Place to Stay in Downtown Vernon

Owner seems friendly, and the place is pretty clean, but that's all this place has going for it. Owner follows you around turning all the lights off and cleaning all the surfaces you've touched, good luck finding a single item a regular person might need in the kitchen, shared bathroom has no door lock. The general vibe is like your doddery grandpa has turned his house into a hostel and is mostly concerned that nobody spoils the furniture he bought brand new 30 years ago. You could stay here, it'll be fine, but Vernon's a big place...why would you?

Clean but weird

This place is nothing like your average hostel and feels like you’re living in someone’s house. On arrival the front door was locked and there was no answer to the door bell, luckily we had local SIM cards to be able to call the hostel to let us in. Despite having a booking we then had to wait for our room to be cleaned and set up. Our room smelt of smoke and was extremely stuffy throughout the night with no fan. There is 1 functioning shower and the bathroom doors have no locks. The kitchen is very small and not very well stocked - no bowls or electric kettle. There was maybe only a few people staying there and the vibe was definitely very strange. I would not have liked this place if I had stayed alone but it was clean and a bed for the night. There is wifi and it is conveniently located in the centre of town. 

Not your average hostel 

This was a weird experience.. the door was locked and it took reception so long to come unlock it for us- we were out in the snow at dark tad bit cold.. we were the only guests at the hostel- it was a little eerie and dead quiet but the owner was so lovely. It has a good kitchen and common room and we had it all to ourselves for the whole three nights we were there.. definitely needs a little work with the atmosphere.. but it’d be alright to stay with a group.. 

Weird little place

it is a very easy place to stay and is absolute perfection for light travelling when you just need a bed and a room to keep your stuff. Friendly and kind staff was super helpful when we realised we completely forgot our paperwork, while checking in much much later than we should have
