The main building looks very nice . we did not stay there. We were in a 3 bedroom cottage x 2, which I would rate at 3 star. It was clean but little things like a broken handle on the screen door, a picnic table that had rotted through.
We had 3 units booked as a family. 1 unit #7 I would not rate higher than a 2. it had a broken lazy boy chair and I 'll leave the rest to your imagination. In the 3 bedroom we stayed in the arms on the chair were dirty and sticky, not to our liking.
The units are well equipped with utensils etc.
Kudos to the manager who I spoke with and he offered and made immediate corrections and upgrades which was greatly appreciated.
The location is handy to main street where the majority of the  business' are.


Our stay in Montague

This place was recommended by family….and I’m glad we stopped. Rooms were large, clean and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast is simple, but plenty…and there are laundry facilities.  The front desk will even sell laundry pods.  Everything we wanted to see was a hop skip and a jump away and we could finally take time to stop.
We’ll recommend this place, hopefully can return one day…

Nice stop

We stayed in a cabin along the river.  The rooms were very clean and we had everything we needed to prepare meals and sleep comfortably.  There are a few things that need attention (old/tired picnic tables, broken window blinds, thin towels, missing light bulbs) but nothing that we could not manage.  For the price of an overnight/week long stay, these kinds of small issues should be addressed.  The grounds are well-kept and there is ample parking.   We wished that the shrubbery along the river bank was thinned out so that the beautiful location could be appreciated.  Overall, this is a lovely place to stay in Montague. 

Great Location!

We stayed three nights at this fairly new hotel on the hillside of the river with a view of the harbour. This is a quiet place away from traffic. Rooms were very clean and roomy. We found good restaurants within a walking distance.  We rented a room with a jacuzzi and it was beyond our expectations. They also serve a continental breakfast which was appreciated. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Our stay at the Riverhouse Inn in Montague PEI.

This is not a real fancy place, but it's exceptionally clean and well maintained, rooms are spacious and river views are outstanding. Breakfast is a little on the light side, but everything else was very nice and the location allows for easy walks to some of the towns most popular eateries.

Modest hotel with excellent attention to detail

I have stayed in more hotels than I care to remember and every now and again I am surprised and this was one such occasion. I love it when a 3 star or such just does everything right and just do what you expect with a minimum of fuss. This is such a place. Over and above the outstanding location almost every room has a river view, the staff is friendly helpful and attentive. Rates are reasonable and a very nice quiet nights sleep. Basic continental breakfast is included. Great restaurants, brewpubs within walking distance and on the Confederation trail to boot. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Did everything a hotel needs to do well in great location and attentive friendly staff

The rooms are clean, spacious, and updated.  The rooms had carpet flooring and periodically noise from the plumbing. Our room faced the river and had a balcony.  I would recommend a room on the top floor for the best views. Breakfast was continental with lots of variety including yogurt and fruit. The staff was friendly and  helpful.  Location is excellent. Its nice to walk along the river and through town.

Nice hotel on the river

Pleasantly surprised how awesome this place is. I do not drive and will be able to walk to all amenities ...laundry facilities available...river view. The cabin is spacious with kitchenette...heated floor. Beautiful bathroom area..its just fantastic. 😊

Working trip for a week

The room had a balcony which overlooked the river.  It was very clean with modern fixtures - perhaps a recent renovation.  The staff was very helpful and welcoming.  Breakfast is basic continental - fine but lacked fruit.

Friendly staff, great view, very clean

Our family stayed here 3 nights in August in a 2 bedroom cottage. Cottage also had a pull out couch & air conditioning. Not fancy but was clean & comfortable. Chairs and bbq on cottage deck also look out type decks with view of the river.
