Very busy weekend in Victoria and found this little gem!  To be honest - was a little leery when booking but so glad we stayed here.  Check in was excellent and staff were very nice.  Exceptionally clean throughout entire building with a nice Christmas tree in lobby.  Our room was awesome!  An old apartment building turned into a motel and the rooms were big with full kitchen, table, living room and couch and two queen beds in alcove.  Everything was so clean including bathroom which was spotless.  Had a great sleep and was very quiet.  Right across the street from Mayfair Mall and places to eat very nearby.  Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Fantastic!

The Mayfair motel is a short drive from downtown. This is an older multi floor building with an elevator. Check in went well. The front desk staff gave us a map and told us places we should see. The room was very large - kitchen, table and chairs, couch and 2 closets. The room was clean and quiet. There are several restaurants nearby.

Great place to stay if you don't want to pay downtown prices. A good walk but doable from the wharf. Can also catch the bus from across the street. Exceptionally clean and more spacious than we expected.

Nice stay, VERY clean room, was almost a bachelor suite, had a full kitchen and table, living room, and bed tucked into an alcove, BUT noise from the main street was continual until well after midnight, ambulances all evening, not much peace and quite.  Close to where I needed to be, so that was a plus.  Friendly lady at check-in, weekend stay was much more then during the week.

Super clean, recent updates, but ...

This is an older building, and as we found out, one that rents rooms by the week/month. The photos of the rooms looked good on the various sights like Booking.com and the reviews were very good. This is indeed a very clean hotel. It is obvious that they take pride in the maintenance. New carpeting, new paint, probably the cleanest hotel we've stayed in, better than some of the chains. We only saw a staff member when we checked in. Good sized mall across the street. Rates are much better than downtown which is easily accessed. A very nice, moderate hotel.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED.

I stayed here for 8 days while attending the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria.  For less than $100 a night I got a great little efficiency apartment complete with coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and toaster.  It is a quick and easy bus trip downtown or to the University of Victoria and a single bus trip to the airport.  The staff was super kind and the room was clean and cozy.

Pleasant and affordable

We spent one night here on our way up Vancouver Island. The room was really big, and super clean. Bed was comfy as were the chairs. James at the check in desk was super friendly. My only complaints were the lack of a alarm clock in the room, and the building seems really old so there was no lobby and the floors kind of sloped...a little odd but we would stay there again.
