The most beautiful B&B

We keep coming back due to the great rooms and warm hospitality.   Not to mention the outstanding breakfasts.  It is such an oasis of tranquility.  Pat and Tom are always so welcoming.  If want to experience an outstanding B&B, try this one.

Our favourite B&B

Pat at Atherton House was a most gracious host, providing a very welcoming atmosphere.  My two travel partners and I enjoyed both rooms on the upper level of the house. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were extremely comfortable.  We made very good use of the private deck over-looking the beautiful gardens and adjacent orchards.  The breakfasts were superb, the coffee was great and the conversations were most enjoyable. The only down side was that our travel plans only allowed us to stay for 2 nights.  There is no doubt in my mind that I will be returning.

Atherton House - Home away from home in Niagara Wine Country

Pat at Atherton house is fantastic. We were travelling with another couple and wanted something close to all the great wineries in this area.  Fortunately I found Atherton. 41 wineries are within minutes.  The house is immaculately kept. The two rooms were very nice. There was a seating area in the larger room. It had been a rather cold, raw spring day so when we got back from our wine tour we turned on the fireplace in the sitting area, opened a bottle of wine and had a great evening with our friends.  You literally have the whole upstairs of the house to yourself in the evening. Breakfast was outstanding, Eggs Benedict and peameal  bacon along with fresh fruit, assorted muffins, toasted English muffins, juice, coffee and tea. The gardens in the back around the pool were not yet green or blooming, but they will be beautiful in a few weeks. The property is next to an orchard as well. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. An excellent value and experience. We will be going back. 

Great location,  value and service.

We recently stayed at the Atherton House B&B during one of our frequent visits to the Vineland/Beamsville area to restock our wine cellar.  Pat and Tom are gracious hosts and they have a lovely rural location for their B&B. Pat was very good accommodating our dietary issues and made sure that we had a satisfying breakfast to start our days.  The backyard backs on to a Peach Orchard and has a lovely garden where the birds enjoy feeding and singing to the guests. Two little dogs are a delightful company in the gardens as well. 

The one issue that was a problem for my wife is that the guest rooms are located beside the Spa and if you have an allergy to perfume or strong scents this can be a problem. We were out of the B&B throughout the day and in the evening our bedroom windows were open to help clear the air of the smells from the Spa; however, it was still difficult for her.  If you do have an allergy to scents this will be difficult for some and should be noted on their web site.

Lovely Quiet Location

This was our seventh stay with Pat and Tom at Atherton House and seriously you cannot find a scale that goes high enough to rate this place. From the location, to the on-site amenities, to the hosts and the hospitality, we love coming here and will continue to do so for years to come. If you are visiting in the area and looking for the very best place to stay, this is it. But you better make sure you call early for a reservation and word of mouth is really spreading about this place and it's not always easy to get a room. Enjoy the wine country and all Niagara has to offer and then get spoiled with a night or two at the Atherton House. We already booked or stay for 2016!
