This motel was a favorite for us. The owner who is alone to manage everything is really nice and makes sure that everything is for the best. Our room was very spacious, cottage style, very clean with extra amenities such as: kettle, stove top, sink for washing dishes, large enough freezer in the fridge, bbq outside. The pool was spotless. 

Located a few minutes from the beach and several shops.

We have stayed here a few times each summer and it’s always consistent, 
We only stay there for the awesome location to everything, downtown, the beach, restaurants, sightseeing and how cheap it is compared to everything else.
Great owners, friendly hard working, if something is missing or needed, she is there in a flash to fix it. 
It’s very clean and they are always cleaning, but it’s hard when it’s run down and needs new carpets etc., so I can see why others would say it’s dirty or lacking something, but again you can’t beat the price and you get what you pay for. 
The king beds are perfect, we love them, better than our own. 
If you can get past the musty odour and the stained carpets, and the worn room, you will love the price, the location and the friendliness. 
I call it “Glamping” it’s better than camping! 
That should be their motto! 
We will be back! We love Southampton, this location and their beds and friendliness! And the Price! 
Can’t wait for the pool to open again!

The room was dirt (your feet get dirty just walking in the room), the bathroom is even worse. The bathtub is... 
Not renovated since probably the 1980s.
Not gay friendly (at all). We had to explain that it was ok to have booked a unique bed bedroom... 
Super expensive considering the poor service offered. 
Close to the beach.

5 minute walk to Beautiful Lake Huron. 
Motel room was less to be desired. 
Toilet was still dirty. . Was not even flushed .from last use. 
Smelled like a cigarette room .. we had to buy a candle to keep odour at bay.... with window open. 
We would have located another hotel or motel however they were all booked for the long weekend.
Southampton is truly a Beautiful lil Yuen in Lake Huron 
We will return however.. definitely a different motel/ hotel.

Beautiful Beach/ 5 minute walk

very friendly hosts. This motel provided a good bed, great location and budget stay. The kitchenet was functional but nothing fancy. Bathroom was functional too. Very close to main street and fun to be able to walk to the waterfront to take in sunset with other tourists.
Very bicycle friendly for our bike touring.

Love is the comfort and cleanliness here and it’s always the same. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
The motel was quiet at night,  our room was equipped with small stove, sink, microwave and a fridge, all clean and working well, I say it is overall great value for money.
The location is excellent, 5 mins to beach, downtown,  a nice cafe just across the street.
we will definitely book here again.

booked room - room dirty - no towels - only 1 pillow for 2 double beds - tv didn't work - smelled old and musty - should be shut down.  Asked for money back and no problem so went somewhere else.   I can't remember when I have seen a worse motel - should be torn down

more than horrible

We went to Southampton beach last Saturday planning to go home after the sunset  mind  you we live in Maple so it’s 2hours and 45minutes drive but around 5:30pm we suddenly decided to stay for a night we’ve tried looking for a place to sleep in for the night but most of the motel around the beach was already book and we don’t want to stay in Port Elgin but luckily when i called Manor Motel. Yen answer and told me they have still 1 room but it’s double I thought she’s saying the size of the bed but when we went to the motel it was 2 queen size bed which was ok. She’s a nice lady. She and her family live in the motel too so any problem they will be there to help. The room was clean and the bathroom is really small. It has fridge and microwave and tv with cable.  It’s true it’s an old motel but me and my husband don’t care as long its clean and there’s no bedbug. We will just used the room to sleep anyways. The pool has no water and old but who needs a pool when the beach is two blocks away from the motel? There’s a cafe bistro across Tim horton is just 2 blocks away. Location is really good
Are we staying there again? Why not but i’ll make sure it’s only 1 queen or king bed 😊

Great location

This place is right across the street from a history coffee shop and right around the corner from Main Street. It's a motel, so the digs are not exactly luxurious, but this place does the job. Free parking, wifi, and a good clean bed. Good front staff. Central pool we never tried out, but looked solid. Good for the price!
