I stopped at this motel after a long drive , coming from Calgary . Rooms are small but very clean . I like to old style look and the private entrance . Owners are very nice and friendly . Will recommend to others. I see a few bad reviews about this motel, people don't understand it's a rural motel. I will stop again

Great road side motel

I stayed here on Saturday to come visit my father on fathers day. Pretty busy place and the owners try help with everything. I will be stopping by everytime I will cross transcanada. It was a nice place to stop by as there was nothing for the next few hundred kilometers

Very nice quiet room

First of all if you put the address in that is on booking.com it takes you to a field that's not even close to where it is. The correct location is at Deacons corner. Location is 20 minutes from downtown Winnipeg. Motel is pet friendly. Close to Subway and A & W. and there are areas around there that are ok for walking dog. Rooms are fairly clean, service was good. No breakfast available and the wifi is very poor. So I have to say they are a little over priced.

No breakfast, terrible wifi

It stunk, the mattress was stiff. And they stole my deposit saying I smoked in a non smoking room. I see other reviews where this has happened in the past. Looks like business is slow and the easy way to make the lease payment is rip off your guests. They don't care if you come back. They dont need return business if they keep there guests deposits with made up stories. Another sucker will pull in tomorrow. Absolutely the worst Motel in the world. The owners or dishonest and greedy. They should be made to close up shop. I hope karma police come to arrest them. Unfortunately the regular police dont deal with these minor problems. They know this and take advantage of this fact.

Worst motel ever

In the morning she checked the room. Returned and told I had been smoking in the room. She hadn't seen me smoking. I was smoking outside, putting the butt out halfway and would then place it on the end table. Because some ashes(not alot)had fallen off the put out cigarette she assumed I had been smoking in the room. The room that had no hot water or water pressure. And stunk. There was no damage done to the room and unfortunately smokers smell like smoke. We bring the ouder inside with us. So that was her proof. My stinky butt. And a couple of ashes. That money is to repair the room that has been damaged. Not to go buy gas or chocolate bars. No one dime of my deposit will be spent on the room. She is a thief. And with that reasoning could keep everyone deposit. I have retained a lawyer(my friend is a lawyer). The law says she must prove to me that the deposit was spent fixing the damage I caused or I can charge her with theft under $5000. I will also be recommending that motel to all my friends that have bed bugs. I sure hope they transfer to the motel 66. Keeping my $150 dollars I imagine will cost her much more than that when I'm done. She should of thought of that.i will also use social networking to prevent anyone without bed bugs to stay at motel 66. I hope it was worth it. Keeping my deposit will cost u money. I promise.

Stole my deposit.

There were four of us and only double beds available.  At check in the lady at the desk questioned our sleeping arrangements. Mom and Daughter, Father and Son.  This motel is directly across from a railway line, where trains went through several times and blew their horn/whistle.  There is air-conditioning,..but it is in the wall in the bathroom.  I wish we had found something else.  Sorry cannot and would not stay there ever again.

Absolute worst room we have ever stayed in. 
We were travelling thru to ontario and all hotels in Kenora were booked so we decided to get a room on the east side of Winnipeg for an early start. We couldn't have found a worst place to stop
We got the last room for the night
It was a smoking room. The room reeked. 
Comforters were stained and the sheets looked like they hadn't been washed. One set of sheets had several cigarette burns in them and the bed stunk of urine. The mattresses looked old
We slept (if you can call it that) in the other bed in our clothes cause it insulated us better from the bedding. 
Trains went by all night blowing their whistles. 
At 3:00 am we left. We were more comfortable in the truck then in the room. 
We would have been better off sleeping in the truck on the roadside then trying to sleep in that room. Disgusting.
