I had almost a week to spend on Rapa Nui and wanted to make the most of it. My host at Hare Natura took care of everything: from airport pickup to drop-off, and everything in between. 

The cottage is a stand-alone unit and gave me that wonderful feeling of being a local, not merely a guest in a hotel. The first thing I noticed were fresh flowers throughout the space and the expertly decorated interiors using many natural elements.

The bed wis super comfy with a closet for hanging clothes. The adjoining bathroom is modern and clean (hot water without a fuss -- this being an island, that's not so at every lodging!). The kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed to cook your own meals (well, barring groceries!), even a nice selection of spices on hand. There are windows everywhere in the unit bringing in the fresh island breezes.

I needed to work remotely part of the time I was there, and the wifi access helped immensely. I could work at the table with lovely breezes and garden views and watch the chickens roaming the yard. Even though the unit is next to the host's home and a second unit, the host designed this to feel very private.

For sight-seeing, the host gave excellent recommendations, and I was able to rent a car suitable for driving around the island directly from her (highly recommend this!). I had also hoped to meet some local islanders for my work, and she personally took me around and made introductions. She speaks excellent English, Spanish and French, so communication was oh-so-easy! 

I really want to go back and explore this island a little more thoroughly, and when I do, I plan to book at Hare Natura right away!

Charming home away from home on Rapa Nui!

I recently stayed one night here and had an amazing experience on Easter Island, with a lot of help from Celine, the owner of this guest cottage. I arrived from Tahiti in the late morning and was met at the airport in typical Polynesian fashion with a lei by Celine. This personal greeting was a good omen as to how my stay would go. Celine drove me around the village of Hanga Roa, the largest town on Easter Island, and then brought me to my cottage. The guest cottage was large and had everything one would need for either a short or long stay. Private bedroom, full kitchen, and full bath along with a dining table, and sitting room. The cottage also had a nice porch where one could sit outside and watch the beautiful starlit sky at night. 
Celine was extremely knowledgeable about the island and offered great advice as to how I should make the most of my one day there. After dropping my bags off at the cottage, she then took me back into town and dropped me off at the rental car agency where I would hire a car and spend the rest of the day exploring the island. Easter Island is absolutely magical and it was like a dream to visit such a place that I had always heard about, growing up in Hawaii. 
I really enjoyed my stay at Hare Natura and I would not hesitate to return and stay here again. There are just a few things that I should mention however, that keep me from giving this place 5 stars. There are a lot of chickens and roosters on the property and they start crowing very early in the morning so this could pose a problem for light sleepers or those wishing to sleep in. The cottage also did not have any screens on any of the windows and so if you wanted to open the windows at night to allow fresh breezes in, you may encounter a mosquito problem. The bed in the room did have a mosquito net hanging above it however. One should also pay close attention to the location of the property as there are no signs directing you to the guest house and I became disoriented at night and after several failed attempts to find it, I gave up and had to phone them to come and rescue me and bring me back to the house. 
The cottage was very comfortable, and the hospitality of the owners more than makes up for the aforementioned shortfalls. I would definitely stay here again!

Owners Make This A Great Place To Stay!

I think the title is self explanatory. All the comforts you can ask in an idyllic location. Close to everything but away from the busy centre. We stayed for 4 days and it was a pleasant surprise that the place was looking just like the photos.

A place which you could call home in the middle of the pasific

My wife found this place on air bnb and sent me the pictures. I immediately replied to book right away! We received an email back from Celine, the owner, saying that a couple had already rented our preferred cabana but we could have the larger one for the same price, we booked immediately. Celine picked us up at the airport and drove us around Hanga Roa showing us where the local grocery stores, post office, restaurants and stuff like that were. She gave us a great overview of the area and suggested some of her favorite stuff to do. When she dropped us at the cabana she gave us a map and told us to drop in at her house with anything we needed and set us up to rent a car for the next day. The house was incredible! We utilized the kitchen and local grocery stores every day and ate our lunches out. Celine had several guidebooks in the cabana which helped us navigate around the island. The cabana itself felt like home immediately. Very warm and relaxing. The night before we left, Celine stopped by and told us that she would be picking us up for our flight and dropping us at the airport. During this visit we ended up talking with her for about an hour as she is one of the most personable people I've ever met. I couldn't say enough good things about this trip and Hare Natura. If you're headed to Rapa Nui, do yourself a favor and look it up!

Amazing place to stay on Rapa Nui!

We stayed in the island for 4 days, the owners made the stay extra special. Very friendly. The place looks just like on pictures, nicely decorated, 5 min form the cost line and a solitary moai. Nice ocean view form the porch. Definitely recommended. 

Great place

Hare natura consists of 2 Cabañas and the main house. We stayed in the smaller Cabaña which was very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It also had a large terrace and outdoor table to eat at. The WiFi was decent and served our purposes well. The kitchen is also stocked with all cooking utensils needed and a small fridge. The location is great and if walking along the coast only about a 15-20 minute walk from the town (depending on your pace) where you can see your first moais. Celine is great, she French and her husband is Rapa Nui. She has been living there for 3 years and has lots of great tips on what to see and do. She also set us up with a great tour guide for a 7 hour hike to learn more about the culture and see some of Easter Islands hidden secrets.
