Fast check in & out. Friendly frintbdesk staff & bellhops, & duty managers. Pleasant warm room, with excellent hot shower , and all amenities. Lobby & hallways though are not heated so in winter, a coat is advisable in these areas. Bed very comfortable with soft clean linen and various types of pillows. Has some good english news stations.

As the title says the Suzhou intercontinental is a very good hotel, however it is also not cheap.
I had the luck to get bumped up during check in.
The room was really nice with a lot of space, huge bathtub, complimentary water, etc.
The breakfast is also very good with a selection of everything you want continental to Chinese.
Definitely worth to stay there.

Very good hotel, however also not cheap

 Stayed in room 2505 in sept. The check in was brief, and the front destination manager extremely courteous and showed me to elevator. The room was well appointed with all amenities.  It took a while for the ac to get the room to a normal temperature and the high fan setting made alot of rattling noise. The shower was excellent,  but I could not figure out how to turn on the rain shower.
I also kept stubbing my toe on the door stopper right in front of the toilet, which can be extremely dangerous! The mini bar fridge had to be plugged in. I would stay here again if they can get rid of the toe stubber!

Comfortable and friendly

I spent two nights here at this hotel. Overall 5 star service. Everyone working was friendly and outgoing. The breakfast included in the rate had everything you would expect. Also got a chance to eat at the steak house on the second floor. Expensive yet great Australian steak. The hotel is right on the lake in a modern area of Suzhou. Believe it's in the industrial park. Old town Suzhou is about 15 minutes away by car. Rooms are very clean and modern. Overall a nice place to stay. Spend extra for the lake view if the view is important to you. I was on the other side looking at a construction site.
