The hotel is in a great location on the Qintai Road, right outside the Culture Park and only 5-10 mins walk from the Metro. The staff are very friendly but English is limited (via translation apps mostly). The room was clean and newly refurbished. Breakfast was ok although no tea or coffee was offered. Room rates were very good for the area. Wi-Fi was ok but searching was limited.
I had no problem at all with the hotel itself.

Unfortunately the noise outside the hotel took away the good points. Our room was at the front of the hotel and every morning between 5.30am and 8am the car park turned into a coach pick up point. The noise of people shouting, coaches rumbling and horns was horrendous. 
Makes sure if you wish to stay here that you try the rooms at the back of the hotel. 

Great Location but Noisy

Stayed in 2 very different rooms, one Moroccan style, the other a tranquil green but near stairs(201).  Rooms were fine, good showers, hairdryer, comfortable beds, a/c.  Wifi worked intermittently in 201 was absolutely fine in 408!  If you really look the rooms are quite tatty.  Breakfast was OK.

Overnight stays!

A group of 5 of us stayed here for one night before flying home. My room was beautiful and I wished I could have spent more time in it.  It’s in a great location - we went out for a walk in the main street outside, which is amazing, then out to a restaurant in the ship building for dinner.  Sadly we had to leave at 0500 so missed breakfast.

So, I want to begin by saying the staff here is very friendly and helpful, and the shower head and sheets at this hotel are lovely. The location is prime and it was half the price of other hotels in Chengdu. Those are the only good things about this hotel. I wanted to enjoy my stay here and post a pleasant review to benefit this hotel and it’s business, but I hated it. If you want my honest truth, keep reading. 

Everyone who said it’s noisy, was right. You’re on a main road which has horns and alarms going off at all hours of the night, and you can hear everyone in the other rooms and hallways as well. Wifi was pretty bad as the stay continued. Breakfast was, well, free... coffee was burnt and it’s only available for 2 hours. The one thing I could not get past was everything about the bathroom (except the showerhead). The drain in the shower seems like it is directly linked to the sewage in the street. So it stunk... not of your waste... but everyone else’s in Chengdu... When it gargles (hopefully you know what I mean), you get that blast of sewage smell. It. Was. Awful. To add to that, it smelled like mildew. Turns out it smelled like that because there was some dark possibly black mold on the counter! Lovely, right? Wait it gets worse. The shower door doesn’t stay shut (so thankfully we had good balance to keep it shut with one foot), we only had one toilet paper roll at a time (it was rough), and the icing on the cake: the shampoo and body wash containers were kept and refilled as needed. You could see the soap scum on each lid. 

Again, staff was super friendly. But I will not be returning, nor do I recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay the extra money if you’re able and go elsewhere.

Never again

Location is perfect for the daily shopping. Close to 2 very beautiful gardens. Instead, nothing around in the night time, really boring. Quality so and so...rooms are really particular, each one is different...very very nice! But are dusty and in some detail not clean.
At the end a "normal" hotel, not too bad but nothing you will remember for your life!

Okey hotel with a good location, but its a bit over the top when it comes to the decorations. The breakfast was terrible and I skipped it the rest of the stay. The staff members english is okey. Unfortunately one of the staff member and I become "friends" during my stay. He followed me to the bus, metro and after his shift he took me out to show me the city. It was very nice and I am very open-minded when it comes to cross-cultural experiences and I love to spend time with the locals. We exchanged email and continued to have contact after my departure from Chengdu but still travelling in China. He asked me how my travels were and recommended me many new places. Then suddently couple of days after my arrival back home I recieved an email that his father is very ill, needs an operation that will cost a lot of money, that he tries to collect money but is not able, and asks me to borrow him 6000 yuan - about 805 Euro. That completaly shocked me, and I suddenly felt sad about him beeing so nice to me just to be able to get my money. I know that he does not work there anymore – but that completely made me more ware of spending time with the locals and even «trustworthy» staff members. And since I got to know him there the impression of the hotel got destroyed. 

And the wi-fi is terrible.
