I must preface my 4 star rating that is is also based on the price per night. For the cheap price you pay for a room here it is a good value and located right by the subway for for that it gets top marks. It is reasonably clean, but this is a no frills hotel (not really a motel). If I were paying $150 a night, this would be a one star, but I paid less than $50 a night and it included breakfast. The fact that McDonald's was right next door was a plus as I like my coffee and they have North American coffee there (the hotel coffee was awful). The breakfast, however, was a decent Chinese spread. The other two points are that the beds are hard and the carpets are not the cleanest. The cleaning staff were very friendly though. Would I stay there again? Likely as the price point for the necessary comforts and cleanliness makes it a great value. Best for short stays.

Value for money

It's a good hotel, very cozy and not expensive, the staff is very friendly and rarely speaks English, although my friend was there before, but she didn't get much feedback. But it's a huge plus that the airport is nearby.

I'm back in China for an exhibition...almost twice a year in April.October, visiting the Canton Fair....will stop at this hotel to save me from fatigue....quiet.comfortable..Internet rooms for free...anytime you can order a room..there are no cabinets.There are only hangers for clothes.The mirror is large, clean pastel.Wannable conveniently...all right....comfortable all at once.....

My hotel for flying!!!!

I can't figure out what is going on with this place. You are sleeping in the bathroom!  There was no divider in our room.  Maybe they are about to close this location, because from looking at the photos its clear they won't be in business long.

Beware of the missing bathroom door!

Advantage:
Hotel with 24 hot water. Wifi speed is acceptable. Bath tap water circulation is fast enough. AC is strong. The best part is snacks bar nearby the hotel. It really attracts me a lot. I call it the most typical Chinese street food. 

Disadvantage:
Room is not very clean and seems a little old, but compared with the price, I think it is acceptable.

Summary:
If u r alone or with your friends, here will be a nice choice. But if it comes to your girlfriend, I think u had better to book another luxury hotel. ^_^

Good Hotel

Great location right next to the Metro and handy to the airport which is why I chose this hotel. Free shuttle to airport if you don't want to take your bags on the subway. Very handy for shopping and plenty of cheap food places around too.  McDonalds, KFC and Renhe Desserts as well as cheap hawker food. 
But reception could not understand English and when I complained that the bathroom smelled (of urine) they told me to go to my room where I waited a couple of hours before they sent me someone with a plunger instead of a cleaner! I gave up and put up with a smelly room and put towels down on the bathroom floor. Hand basin didn't look clean either. I was only staying one night. Door had to be slammed to shut and was not just my door either as could hear others banging there doors to shut them. Noisy guests.    Would choose another hotel.

Okay for one night.

A few days ago while having a stopover holiday in Guangzhou city China I decided to book a room at Motel 168 Airport branch as I'd stayed at Motel 168 before in Shanghai and was happy there.I'm so pleased  I did.The Hotel is situated on the subway route  just 2 stops from the airport and is close to good local restaurants and shops in the Renhe district.

The room was very clean and tidy and the bed was super comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. The shower was lovely and hot a necessity when travelling!The staff were reasonably polite to me but I think that's more because I was speaking to and greeting  them in their native Mandarin  language. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting clean ,comfortable  and safe budget accommodation in Guangzhou.This hotel is perfect for p[eople on  stopover holidays and  for people taking connecting flights from Guangzhou due to ti's close proximity to the airport. An excellent hotel!
