Manager Liu Juan  was really helpful in advising me on how to purchase train tickets to get to Guangzhou from the nearby Guilin North Station. She and her husband helped us throughout the process even though they were in a hurry to leave.
My Australian wife and I want to thank them for their earnestness.
The hotel was refurbished recently thus it is looking good. We had a pleasant 6 night stay there.

Fantastic manager

I chosen Vienna due to our last day at Guilin and convenient for us to walk to Guilin North station (less than 10 min). Vienna was 15-20 min away by taxi from Guilin attractions such as Elephant Trunk Hill, shopping street, etc. 
The room that we stayed was clean and has a large comfortable bed. In room basic 4 star amenities with standing shower. Our room was inclusive with breakfast and it was a bit disappointed with the selections as it only served Chinese food. We would not complaint much for the price we paid as the room cleanliness and bedding was beyond our expectation. I would give a try to other Vienna Hotels as well in future. Recommended for those who plan to spend time outside all day and plan to catch a train on next day.

Basic and clean

The hotel is close to the north (Bei) train station. We arrived around midnight thus this hotel was a good option.
The receptionist had worst than poor English and it was a small adventure to finally get the room we've booked in advance. The room as OK - nothing special but clean and with comfortable bed.
The breakfast was poor - yes, we were late (~9.30am) but still there were some leftovers only... The coffee is drinkable.

The neighborhood has nothing interesting, so just take a bus or other transportation to Yangshuo. There is almost nothing to do in Guilin.

The only benefit of this hotel is the proximity to train station.

The rooms are very good, comfortable large beds, everything is clean, although the hotel is not new. The staff speaks English very well, the voucher of the hotel did not cause any problems, although our reservation did not arrive at the hotel, the managers themselves called the hotel and solved all the questions. The breakfast is modest Chinese, but decent. The hotel is quite close to the main attractions, arrived late, but managed to watch the mountain-elephant and the light show there too. From the light show on the mountain were enthusiastic, a small bonus to it - another performance before him, quite decent number of rooms are also attached))

A good hotel with a very convenient location

A bad smell from the the toilet was first indication that this room was not going to be our favourite. The room look ok, but the cleaning is very poor. We found several cockroaches in the room. Most light in the room didn't work. There were problems with the drain in the bathroom. None of the problems were solved during our stay. In general the staff didn't seem to care much. And finally, when we checked out, we were told that our bed linnen now was dirty and that we had to pay extra to get it washed!

Worst hotel on our trip to China

It's a passing hotel. I've been suffering from this rigidity all night. Clean bathroom, curtain just to change because it's worn and dirty. To be a little positive, it's a two-star hotel with the right rooms. If I'd understood the message from the cab driver who was surprised to see a stranger arrive in this establishment I would have walked my way.
