This lodge is located in a nice area surrounded by rice paddies. It gave us the opportunity to ride our bikes right from the main entrance door to explore the area. The buildings are part of an old village that have been rehabilitated keeping the original charm. The owner was an excellent cook and he provided us with great meals. I would definitely return here!

Great experience

Valleluna is a great place to be for  travellers who are looking for a place with homey feels. They provide you with first class inns . the owner Terry is a very hospitable person. The entire architecture of valleluna is beautiful.  The room is wooden and very old fashioned style but preserves the old China's dynasty way of living . valleluna is a place with China's old dynasty houses.  Getting to stay there was a very exciting and enjoyable experience.  It is kind of like chalets. Except with the taste of historical China.  The place is where Chinese of previous dynasty living in China use to stay and the architecture is absolutely beautiful and stunning.  The environment is also very calming for the soul and 100% garunteed to be safe. It is a place of peace that soothes the soul.  Terry is also a very nice person.  This comes from a person who has been able to try his wife's cooking which is also very good! The entire place gives off a homey feeling.  And for those who fear that the place is run down fear no more.  Terry always ensures the place is well maintained and the inside of the houses have been well furnished with beds tap sitting toilets and a shower!

So basically I was here on a school trip. I learnt that bricks represented a wealthy property. Terry is quite a inspiring person wooo. Thank you terry for renovating the place for us to learn. There are toilet bowls and a shower too. A good break from city life 

I LOVE VALLELUNA

For the scenery alone surrounding this place I give it 5* . 
When we arrived to our guesthouse, at first I was taken aback. Not what I was expecting at all. but once got settled, rooms sorted etc. Realised the uniqueness of the place.
Got off the bus in pouring rain to a group of people with umbrellas ready to accompany us inside.
Then had our dinner which was delicious! 
The place is amazing, Terry is wonderful and great guide, we had a wonderful walk around the old villages surrounding this place.
Cant recommend this place and the. Area enough!! 
One of the highlights of my 12 day trip in China! 

Fantastic place, different, rural, beautiful

We stayed here as part of our tour and I'm so pleased we did. The countryside was stunning. Even with a downpour this place is beautiful. 
Terry is a great host and really makes they stay plesant. From tea to evening meal he's on hand all of the time. 
The rooms are comfortable and unique. There is a fan, electricity, hot water and a comfortable bed. We didn't mind not having air con but a  mosquito net would have been very handy. 
Not being a dog lover I was a bit worried but ding ding & dong dong. However they were very lovely & also kept their distance.
