Stayed in the hotel for a business conference in March 2018. 

Location:
The hotel is located near the city center and a lot of govermental buildings, it is right next to a huge govermental conference center, additionally there is a skyscraper build right next to it. A mall is around 300m down the road. Quianglishan park can be reached by foot.
Bejing road is a main road, but you will not hear any road traffic as the hotel is somewhat set back froom the road. Currently you do hear a lot of construction noise though. 

Rooms:
For our first night we did receive a regular smokers room (Non-smoking room cost extra). They were old, smelly, unrenovated and in disrepair. After upgrading for a non-smoking room all members of our group received fairly nice rooms: Renovated, cleaner, repaired where needed.
The amount of space was nothing to write home about but okay. 
Sadly cleanliness was a bit underwhelming. 

Services:
Laundry service works without any problems. The concierge is helpful as long as you speak chinese. The WiFi worked without any major problems.

Amenities: 
There are two restaurants available as far as I know. We only tried the breakfast restaurant. No other amenities are available as far as we understood.

Staff:
Generally helpful, but only as long as you speak chinese. Absolutely none speaks english.

Breakfast:
The sad part. The breakfast part was absolutely underwhelming. While western options did exist they were in a sad state, same as the rest. Unhygienic, never refilled as far as we saw, etc. Absolutely not worth the money.

Conclusion:
Would I book here again? Maybe. There are better alternatives in Guiyang available. But in general it was okayish.

Typical goverment hotel, sadly very underwhelming breakfast

I've been here for two days for a conference. The room is wonderful: very big, with both tube and shower. When you arrive they set the bed ready for sleeping. 
The buffet restaurant is very good, you can find also some western food. 

Superb! 

This hotel is located within walking distance to the town centre and the Qianling Park, both about 10 to 15-min walk away. One can tell that the rooms are recently renovated as the furniture is still relatively well-maintained. The buffet breakfast has a relatively wide range of choices. Those are pretty much the only good things about this hotel.

Now onto the bad points. Typical to state-run hotels in China, staff were generally rude. I asked for a map of the town and was rudely told that there was none available in the reception- I was asked to go back to my room to find it among a stack of promotional materials. 

Secondly, very typical to lots of Chinese establishments, certain areas were non-illuminated to "conserve energy" (I think). Also, the toilet right next to the Conference Room was locked and my bosses were all forced to walk to the toilet located one storey below. 

Finally, I specifically asked housekeeping not to enter my room and I had the "do not disturb" sign lit. When I was back to my room after a day out, I discovered that a newspaper was put on the mini bar. It clearly shows that staff have no respect for privacy and customers' preference. Still a long way to go from being up to the international standard!

Typical state-run Chinese hotel

the hotel is average as it is a state-owned hotel which means it is own by the government mainly for government functions and meetings.
The service is average and food is average as well.

Room is fine with clean beds and bath. Wifi is unstable sometimes but can use the alternative of LAN Cable.

Average hotel

I spent 4 nights w/ my family here in early July 2010.  I found the hotel to be very nice w/ a staff that was responsive to any requests.  We also ate breakfast at the restaurant at the hotel as well as dinner on 2 occasions.  The food was good w/ a combination of western and traditional chinese food.  From an overall standpoint the following are the pros and cons....

Pros....
1) Nice comfortable rooms
2) Very responsive staff
3) Great value vs the Sheraton and Hojo in Gyuijang

Cons.....
1) Smoke, smoke and more smoke.  One of the downsides to visiting China is the amount of people that smoke.  This was a problem in the hotel restaurant, lounge area and even the elevators (they have up no smoking signs in the elevators).  I do want to add that this problem is not unique to this hotel as it is an issue in every hotel I have been to in China.  I also went into the Guiyang Sheraton lobby and there were numerous people smoking there as well.
2) The hotel had the odd practice of turning off the AC at 2am in the morning if it rained outside (common thing in Guiyang)
3) There was major demolition going on at the building located next to the hotel.  They seem to have minimized the dust, but it was a eye sore for the hotel.

I was very pleased w/ this hotel and would highly recommend it to folks.  In comparison to the much higher priced Sheraton and Hojo in Guiyang, I would defintely go w/ this hotel.
