This must be one of the most lifeless resorts I have stayed on. Very difficult to find anyone who could understand English - we are seasoned travellers and are used to dealing with non English speakers. It took me about two days of sign language and charades to find out the location of the golf courses, the cost and how to get there. 
The golf course was extremely efficiently run. 
We had intended to stay for two weeks. We were so disillusioned after 4 days that we went to another hotel on the coast.

Very Dull

The location is excellent. It is far enough away from the busy city to be quiet, but the bus service into town is very good.
We enjoyed getting up early to have the beach to ourselves and walked in the lovely garden path and sand. On Saturday mornings we had a free taichi lesson.
In the evenings we swam in the large pool and soaked in the hot spa.
The pool was great, but if you want to swim in the sea there is a public beach with lifeguards a kilometer or so towards town.
We had buffet breakfast every day. Excellent Chinese selection plus western food as well.
Helpful staff including some good English speakers.
The room is large and comfortable. Bedding is a little hard for western tastes, but we were very comfortable. Air conditioning was quiet.

We will come back again.

Most relaxing hotel stay.

Arrived here to be told there was no reservation took 3 days to sort however the staff were superb especially Sam . We're not sure why but the hotel is practically empty .Lovely pool and beach however sea not safe to swim in and overlooks an oil refinery. 30 minutes from town but there is a shuttle bus

Such a quiet relaxing spot

I were  HNA HOTEL ,  I called to front desk to help me for fix air condition cos its only cold , but i need to warm  ,so she said me " it not possible now ( clock 7.30 pm ) (date 3.10.2016 ) (rain and windy ) and sent to my room a extra blanket !!!!!! its too fanyyyyy  i think manager of this hotel not good , another things that room its not clean especially toilet . NOT WORTH

Spent one night there as per invitation, generally a great location if you plan a to spend some time away from the big city noise, as the beach and surrounding is very peaceful. There is nothing near the hotel, so pool and beach would be the only purpose to visit. Apparently hotel does not allow swimming in the sea, did not try as temperature was quite cold during my visit. Hotel is old, facilities are really aged and the staff are pretty poor in English. The buffet is very Chinese, overall its catered for the local clientele….intl travelers would have tough time. No wine by the glass, no draft beer, basic coffee shop food….hygiene and maintenance need real improvement. 
The staff try very hard…but you would expect more !!!!

Not To Recommend for Westeners

We were there in August 2014. Hotel: The hotel is beautiful, clean and luxurious. Location: far out of the city or downtown. Again, there are a lot of hotels in the area. (Luxury hotels of the highest standards) Food: Breakfast was excellent and delicious, the choice was okay. We were for dinner in a super seafood and fish restaurant, accessible on foot, with the finest ranges. Beach: at this time construction sites and unvisited. No human soul gets lost there. The pool has an acceptable size and is beautifully clean. Fact: We would no longer choose this hotel because I like beach vacations. And I like to spend the evening there.

Let's start with the fact that the hotel is a 5-star hotel.... Details:.. 1) the fancy half-life, apparently energy savings.... 2) the mini-bar is not open, although in the first place the depot was taken in 2000, a strange situation, until tomorrow 1700 in the head is not fit yet 3) the drinking water in the English language in general, and then the train was occupied.................................................................................................................................................................

..HNA influenced the first impression of China!

We bought an evening buffet couon on meituan (a type of Chinese groupon) and had the buffet for dinner for 158 RMB. The employees were so nice and gave us excellent service. They asked if you wanted salmon sashimi or BBQ or a freshly sipped jar of beer, and they would bring everything, they asked repeatedly if everything was okay. Not the normal rotine service you get in chains like the Hyatt, Sheraton, etc. It came from the heart and was always a little bit more. This was a great surprise. The food was good, the BBQ could have been better, otherwise everything was good.

Really great service, good food, good price-performance ratio

The beach hotel is for sea and sand lovers, there's no complaints about the Sanja Bay, the hotel itself is on the edge of geography, the service is unobtrusive, but if you don't ask for anything, the fans have waited two days, the food is mediocre, the beach is great.
