Please be aware that this is more of a youth hostel than a hotel. There is no elevator and you might have to take your bags up to the fifth floor if no one is around to help the receptionist. Needs upkeep. Our bedding was dirty and was changed upon request. Our room was never cleaned, even when we asked them to. Shower water switched from very hot to very cold. Staff try their best to help out. Location is good - within walking distance from the Westlake and bus stops from where you can catch a bus to the Pagoda, the tea fields and other attractions.

More of a youth hostel than a hotel.

the only 2 good things are: beds were comfortable and 1 girl from the staff was nice. 
the bathroom was really dirty (the sink had traces from the previous guest) and in general the room was not clean. the clean service did the room the second day and they only change the towels (I mean, to make a bed - not to change it - it's really easy, but it was as we left it in the morning). the shower water before getting hot needs at least 3-4 minutes (a big waste of water). you have only one window not easy to open (you have to stand on the bed) and with the glass completely cover by dust and years rain traces. curtains were broken (i fixed them to close them). music from clubs all night, really annoying. internet not good or off most of the time.
be aware!: you can't choose the breakfast. when you book the hotel the price says "breakfast included" but then you can't choose what to eat and the waitress was really rude about it. the food was not that good (I'm vegetarian they brought me more salad that was old and withered). the room was smaller then described and without space to organize bags. The area has no restaurants (except for the one where you do breakfast) only a pub and a tea house, so if you need to go out and eat you need a taxi and go quite faraway. you are close to the lake but you can be close to it in many other better areas. corridors and stairs are old and poorly maintained, rooms design and terrace are nice, but again poorly maintained. looks like an hostel converted to a hotel but 3 stars it's really too much. this place really need to be retrained. price is too high. never again!

Thank you Shuangshuang for accommodating me in your beautiful abode. It's a hearty hotel in great location. I enjoyed the live music in lotus bar just attached to the hotel. Hannah always there to help and take my travel forward. It was a good stay. Will definitely visit again.

A family feeling with great taste in interiors

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed. It's actually a hostel. There is a bar with karaoke stage below the hotel resulting in very bad and loud music in our room on the 4th floor until about 2am. There is a constant horrible sewer smell coming from the bathroom. And got bitten by unidentified bugs while in bed. TV is also not working.

We reported these problems to the front desk in the morning and were immediately informed we can not move rooms but they would look into it. We asked if we can check out after our first night however would not even refund us for the coming three nights either.

We rented their bikes and after cycling for a few minutes my chain went of. While putting it back noticed it was broken on some places so had to put back my chain every few minutes. When we came back at 5pm, not only was nothing done about our issues, our rooms was not even made up. 

Fyi, Staffs english is very very limited.

Prices are actually comparable with much better hotels in the area, DO NOT GO HERE!

WORST HOTEL

Very clean. Staff are friendly and can speak English. 10 minutes walk to west lake. Not far from some good restaurants. You can get the airport shuttle bus not too far from here. Then take taxi as will take around 30 minutes to walk. Can also hire bikes for 30 rmb a day.
