This is a really cool hotel, the price is good, the breakfast is OK for Europeans, the rooms are very good, everything was in good condition, nice furniture, nice bathrooms, Professional staff. Do yourself a favour stay here if your in Kaili.

This place is great

We spent one night here as  a base to visit the Kaili Sunday market. The rooms were excellent--clean, modern, comfortable--and the shower had plenty of hot water. The Chinese breakfast was okay, but don't expect coffee.

The staff generally doesn't speak any English, but there was one young woman the morning we checked out who spoke basic English. She and the other staff were very helpful.

Though we didn't know it when we booked the hotel, the Kaili Sunday market is only a 20 minute walk, so this is a good location if that's one of your destinations.

Modern, clean hotel, well located in Kaili

The Chinese speaking front desk staff strive to be helpful in every way possible - in my case, to the point of sending a person to walk with me to a nearby long distance bus station to ensure that I found it.  That is service beyond what is expected!  I originally booked Zongheng Hotel for 1 night and then again each day for 8 days.  The room was comfortable and clean with fresh fruit served daily.  Great showers!  Breakfast was acceptable if you arrive early.  Probably the hotel has the best location in Kaili, walking distance to the museum, to the alleys with street food, to the Sunday market, to one long distance bus station.  It is 15 minutes by cab from the main train station, 10 minutes by cab to two other long distance bus stations.

Best was the service, least best was the breakfast.  I will certainly stay in Zongheng again.

Excellent location, very helpful staff

A new hotel very centrally located with many facilities close to hand. It is a high-rise building and we were on the 20th floor with a good view of the neighbouring high-rise. The room was enormous with an excellent shower and it even had its own electronic maijong table! The bed was equally large and comfortable. The only downside was there was a bewildering number of light switches in the room; I counted at least fifteen. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of dishes.

Centrally located and next door to the main square where they had free entertainment in the evening of watching the locals line dance. Would have been good if it had a bar, otherwise the rooms were large and clean (and smoke free) with an interesting take on the window from the bathroom into the bedroom - our room had a glass wall i the shower room which faced into the bedroom. Good local restaurant directly opposite and a very good cake shop a couple of doors down
