When you enter the hotel it seems like a really nice place to stay at - but only at first sight. 

We stayed there as a German-Chinese group for two nights and had three rooms. Our experience can only be described as “amazing”. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this hotel:

1. Poor ambience and safety:
As we entered the room we found a business card from a local prostitute on the floor. Later I found out by chance how it got there. Obviously someone puts a lot of these cards in the door gap. When the room service opens the door it falls to the ground. I would have expected that they take the card and throw it in the trash - but the service woman just kicked it a little bit deeper in the room.

If the hotel tolerates prostitutes walking around the floors and spreading business cards it doesn’t seem to be safe to stay there and leave things in your room (especially if you don’t have a safe —> 3.)

2. Poor cleanness:
All our towels were yellowish and had stains. When we asked for a new one because of a big green stain we got another towel with a big red stain...

3. Discrimination?!:

The rooms for the 老外 (foreigners) had no safe, the room for the Chinese had one. 

The hotel offered Evian water for sale in the room. Obviously there were two different prices for the Chinese room (9 yuan) and for the foreigners (20 yuan).

4. Bad condition of the rooms:
The casing of one power socket is really poor. The couch in one room had stains in another one holes...

5. really poor service: 

One room had big trouble with the light in the bathroom, starting at midnight of our first night. The light could not be turned off, which was really bad because there is a glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom. The staff could not fix it and suggested to move in another room - in the middle of the night. Because we had to get up very early in the next morning the couple in the room decided not to move but to stay for the rest of the night and try to sleep. 

The next day the offer of a new room was withdrawn and the staff promised that the light would be fixed. When we returned from our day trip the light in the was ok, but the electricity at one wall was completely shut down (no TV and the power sockets were dead). The TV was fixed after we complained again, but the power sockets were still unusable. 

So while fixing one thing the staff seems careless about breaking other things right away. Obviously there is no quality control if a room is fully functional.

6. The complaint management is really poor:

Because of our problems we wanted to talk to the hotel manager. At first we were ignored by the front desk, later we got some attention from the lower hotel management. They came to our rooms with three persons plus one police officer! We didn’t understand why, but felt kind of treated like criminals. 

Because of the trouble with the light they offered a discount of 100 yuan (room price per night about 700 yuan) , regarding the other problems they practically told that they don’t care...

7. Bad rooms service / cleaning: 

When we returned in the evening to our room we walked into the “cleaned” bathroom and had to see that the toilet water in one room got really dirty. We didn’t know whether the service woman got diarrhea or just put some other dirt in the toilet and forgot to flush. 

After the other experiences we didn’t want to know which was the case or even try to complain about it.
