This small lodging is a great choice for your Lijiang old town visit. The property is a clean,comfortable and relaxing retreat in the busy old town. Do some research to determine what best fits your need as choices abound in the old town area as to style and luxury, but if you want an affordable, clean and warm inviting stay I can recommend this property, the owners are fantastic..helpful and friendly, really feel like home. The only thing you should know is that the property is inside the pedestrian area so you must enter thru the South Gate with all your belongings and bring them on cobblestone streets for a 6 to 7 minutes walk. If you have a lot of bags the owner can arraign a bag porter for low cost, just contact them first to confirm arrival time.
I would return anytime to this lovely place.

An excellent value choice for the old town experience 

Alex, Sofia and all staff were so kind and helpful and they can speak English fluently ( this is rare ). 
Location a bit far from main road but they offered pick up. Dont worry about your luggage. They are so helpful. 
After check out, I accidentally left my wallet. Alex found it and return it back to me. 
Everything was perfect and we would highly recommend this guesthouse. 
You wont regret.

Guiyan Tianju Inn Lijiang

Extremely friendly staff, met us at the gate, organised our transfer from the airport all very efficient. Room was spacious and bed comfortable, no ventilation in the bathroom, a window would have been good. Breakfast is not an option so be prepared to walk and find a place. We had booked for three nights however they moved us to their second hotel for the third night, not really sure why, however it was very nice, just a hassle to pack up all our gear.

Comfort and location

This was an all-around excellent hotel. By far, the best value for money I have found during my three years in China. But that's not even the best part - their service is fantastic. I was amazed at how helpful, friendly and professional the staff were.

In a league of its own

This place was the first stay of our china trip. We could not communicate with the taxi driver so we called the hotel. The owner talked to the taxi for us and send a porter to pick up our bags at the main road.

The best thing about this place were the uncle owner and the glasses girl. They speak english very well and were very friendly. They took a very good care of us and helped us arranged all the trip to snow mountain. Also they recommended us where to eat and where to go in Lijiang. Also helped us about the information for our next trip to Shangrila. We appreciated on their efforts to help us.

The rooms were comfortable with electric bed. Shower were hot and strong. Basic amenities were given.

At this price point this place is an excellent choice. We were so happy that we stayed here and could not recommend this place enough.

Ps. The hotel’s little white dog is so cute and welcoming as well.

Good value for money, good room, good owner

It was a 10min walk from the Hotel Intercontinental near the main road. We arranged for an airport pickup at RMB80 and the porter was right there waiting to transport our luggage to the inn. As the inn is located in Lijiang old town, vehicles mostly not allowed so luckily got the porter to help wheel in our luggage over the stone pavement. Even though the 2-storey inn is rebuilt from scratch, it still exuded an old house charm. The rooms are spacious with strong wifi, good water heater, heating for beds and an airconditioning that can provide cool and warm air. 

Overall great experience except for the construction site opposite the inn which was a bit noisy when they started clearing their debris and rubbish only after midnight! Seems like this is the rule there in order not to inconvenience tourists visiting the old town during the day. A bit strange! But it disturbed guests like us and we could not sleep the first night. Fortunately, the inn managed to move us to a spare room at the back, although smaller, but at least it gave us a good night sleep after that.

If u want to book, do check if the construction is still ongoing or get one of the rooms at the back.
