This hotel is a very old school Chinese hotel. Its old school in that the room furniture is very much Chinese style, timber and uncomfortable i.e. hard. I had the suite up on level 22 and it had a separate bedroom but the sofa in the lounge room as so uncomfortable. The living room was big with a balcony to sit on but the seats on the balcony where tiny, they appeared to be kids sized seating.. But the views of the city and river are amazing.

The room at a mini fridge what was turned off, when I turned it on to put drinks in that I had bought outside, I later found that the fridge was not getting cold. The room safe also did not work. The general maintenance of the hotel is in disrepair. The walls had a lot of deterioration in the paint work and mould. I brushed against the wall at one point and my clothes got a big white mark from the poor condition of the walls.

The bedroom was ok, if you are familiar with the Chinese style hotels, you cant complain when you get a hard bed, which this bed was hard. But thats the Chinese style so I will let them have that.

The best bit about this hotel is its location. Its right in the main centre, its about a 100mtr walk to the main pedestrian mall and KTV's and Bars and Restaurants and a club called Song Song which was very trendy when I visited it with friends one night. But I did find it hard to find decent convenience stores in this area for some reason. but the is a small convenience store just around the corner from the hotel lobby, but it just have the most basic things. A 7/11 or Family Mart would be better. 

To be honest I would not stay at this hotel again. I would try and find a hotel chain even if its further from the city centre.

Chinese style hotel, basic but central location

The Hotel has a good Location, the Service desk is friendly and helpful. The staff speaks little to no english, but help any way they can. The room size is bigger than most Hotels for this price in this area. The balcony is a added benefit, with a good view, I always had rooms facing south. The bathroom is slippery and usually water everywhere after taken a shower, but will dry in a short time. Overall cleaness is ok. The bed is comfortable. Wifi works good and is free.I stayed there on my Business trips many times and no complains. Anytime again
