We stayed in a standard room with two beds for 2 nights.
Starting with the positive: not overly expensive for a place of touristic interest, great location close to the railway station and the room was clean, at least good enough for me.
The little things I disliked: no hair blower, considering the size of the room they should have put 2 single beds instead of a 2-person and a single. My sheets weren't touched by the cleaning staff since my luggage was on top of my bed.
Now what gave the bad aftertaste was the service of the staff. Highly impolite and unshameful. I'm talking about the younger girl who was on duty in the morning of June 22th. Not only did the she have the nerve for demanding a tip (before our room was checked up and having NOT helped us with any service), she turned her nose up for the few coince I dug up, keeping my whole yuans, partly for the bus and partly because was severely annoyed by her haughty attitude.

So my advice for travellers, don't stay here, there are tons of other hotels in the neighbourhood with similar prices. As for the hotel management, fcs retrain or reselect your employees.

Bad aftertaste

This hotel probably wouldn't suit the American business traveler, but it was a clean and reliable place.  No staff spoke any English, so be sure to have a working knowledge of Chinese, or a reliable local interpreter.  A/C worked great.  Internet in the room was only wired (no wifi) and the cable supplied was only 1meter long, so if you haven't already done so, throw a 3 meter network cable in your luggage.  The price was fantastic, and there weren't any bedbugs to worry about.  Right around the corner from the waterfront and pier, the main train station, and a major bus terminal.  A nice base of operations for the savvy traveler.
