1 minute walk to the airport and 10 minute walk to the train station. The hotel is actually called Bo Yue. Very competent for what it is. There's an ATM in the hotel. There are a ton of restaurants in the train station or airport so you can get breakfast there. Great for late night arrivals or early morning departures. 

Convenient 

I have booked a room in this hotel with my wife on my way back to Paris. When we arrived the reception cancelled our reservation because we had transited through Hubei even after testing our temperature which was normal. So we were in the airport in the middle of the night with nowhere to sleep! I definitely recommend to foreign tourists to avoid this discriminative hotel!

A discriminative Hotel!

We booked AND PAID for this hotel months ago, through Agoda (we have the invoice and receipt confirming the hotel has taken payment). However, 3 days before our scheduled arrival date (and while we were already travelling in China) they sent a message through the Agoda portal that just said “your booking cannot be confirmed due to incorrect room rate”.

Our phones for calling do not work in China (only emails and some apps over wifi) so we had to frantically try to find some way to contact the hotel to see if we had a booking and somewhere to stay! Our current hotel tried to call plus our tour guide for the day (including relaying our information in Mandarin as they had limited English) but the flat out denied having ever received our booking (despite having receipts, booking confirmations, etc.) and just sent us back to Agoda.

We had to book somewhere else at the last minute so we weren’t sleeping on the streets of Shanghai and now trying to deal with the fallout of getting our money back and being in a situation where we’ve paid for 2 hotels! A COMPLETE JOKE AND SCAM - AVOID!!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

The Boyue Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Hotel is inside the Airport, easy to get in after landing, amazing value especially in China. Good value for money still if the people working at the hotel usually are not very helpful and their English is basic.
Beside it nice room and good breakfast!

The Hotel is inside the Airport +++

Fascinating hotel for aeroplane enthusiasts, or indeed anyone, right inside the airport terminal! It was crazy to open your curtains in close proximity to parked planes and planes landing and taking off! And with great sound proofing in the room you wouldn’t even know!
Location is super, with not only airport but metro and trains on your doorstep! Perfect location for us as we arrived on the bullet train, checked in and left our luggage, then took the metro into Shanghai city centre to explore, and again used the metro the next day to return to Shanghai before  owning back to collect luggage that night and board our flight 2 minutes walk from the hotel!
Check in was not good-we had 2 rooms booked, arrived after check in time yet none of our rooms were ready! There was no apology and we were not even offered complimentary coffee in the hotel coffee lounge while we waited! Instead we had to go to the airport Costa! When we returned an hour later, even then only one room was ready. We left all the luggage there and headed out to enjoy the city anyway.
We had a suite on floor 9 which was very nice. Spacious, comfortable, clean and with lovely bathrooms with all amenities you could want provided. Breakfast was also very good.
Very nice hotel, especially for an airport hotel, and rather unique in location inside an airport, but staff could perhaps benefit from more training in customer service!

Location!

I stayed with my kid for one night because I don’t want go in town late at night! I checked in about 23 pm and check out 12 P.M. then I have to walk first floor to queue taxi to town. First time I saw very very long queue taxi, but because good system management of Hongqiao Shanghai Airport, it’s not over ten minutes I got taxi. It’s comfortable to stay Boyue Hotel for a night. It’s luxury room and reasonable price 750 Yuan for twin bed. Room is so big. There is lots of accessories for us. For some stuff set such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc., staff asked us on request, they were so nice and helpful. You can see what nice in my photos. Very comfortable for people who want transfer flights or one night in Shanghai or early flight. Boyue Hotel is on the third floor, zone D.

Luxury room and nice staffs

      This is my third stay at this hotel. 
I love the location, right at Terminal 2, and with access to the subway Line 2 and Line 10 and train station accessed on level B1 just inside of Terminal 2.   So if you are familiar with Shanghai Metro the city is at you fingertips. 
I personally have like the rooms I have stayed in.  I have stayed in winter and sometime opened the window to cool down the rooms.  In Summer the AC has worked fine.   So this hasn’t been a issue for me.  
There are four level of rooms offered. The cheapest room are compact, but very much okay for a single occupancy or a couple.  Bathrooms are always spotless. I do select rooms on the non-smoking floors so I haven’t had issues with stale smoke smell.  

I like the breakfast at this hotel. Good choice mainly Asian but my Westerner friends have been happy also.  I am not a fan of the other restaurants in the hotel for dinner.  So I just head out to the Hub or similar places a short distance from the hotel. Huge selection of restaurants and very good quality and value for money.  

There is a nice bar in this hotel. Not the most sophisticated bartenders as work in some of the fancier Shanghai watering holes but still a nice drink with good selection.

Location & Quality rooms 

I stayed here for a conference in the hotel. I stayed 3 nights in the middle of April. The staff were very curious and helpful with all requests and needs. I see some reviews stating that the rooms were warm and that the air conditioning does not work. The air conditioning takes longer than western hotels and I found that over a three hour period my room cooled from 26C to 21C. The beds were comfortable and clean. The access to the subway makes this location great for accessing all of Shanghai. I took the train from the Hongqaio airport to Pudong which took about 1.5 hours. I would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel

Room was very spacious, modern western style decoration. 
Very nice breakfast buffet and nice restaurant lounge.
Gym a bit small but had all the essentials with modern equipment.
Staff were very nice and spoke very good English.


Very good standard 

This hotel is up there as one of the top 5 in the world for the aviation enthusiast. It is located above the terminal of the airport. For the best views you need to have an executive room to get the best views as the lower floors are obstructed by the terminal building (floors 10, 11 & 12)
This is the second time that I have stayed here.
So the Hotel. The reception area is large and quite impressive. Check in was quick and very good. Very friendly staff. I got a room on the 11th floor. The hotel can be accessed directly from the terminal and of course it does have a main entrance. The reception is on the 4th floor. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. There is a bar which is adjacent to the reception.
So the room. As this is a high quality hotel the room does not disappoint. It is well appointed. A comfortable bed, easy chair, work table and chair, plenty of draw and wardrobe space. there is a mini bar and kettle plus a coffee maker. A good size TV. The bathroom is a good size with a bath tub and separate shower and wash basin. And of course the most important bit of furniture for the room - The toilet. Good quality toiletries are also provided. But the best thing is that when you open the curtains you are greeted with a grandstand view of the airport. Can't ask for better. The room was very clean. You also have use of the lounge which was good.
The staff here were all very friendly and as usual would I stay here again. Well YES I would.
