Traveling in period of EXPO, it was extremely hard to get a hotel for decent amount of money. As colleague, I was traveling with was not in need for any fancy hotel, we decided for Home Inn. Location is so so, but considering rather resonable taxi rates it makes sence anyway. At check in sure we felt some language barriers, as all communication was made via phone with a person, barely speaking some English...but it worked out. 
Rooms we were in were decently clean, with double bed hard as always in China...but to sleep over and in fact staying 1 day only....it is not worth to loose any more words. It was OK.
Main problem I faced with was internet connection, that did not work at all. I asked for some assistance, and soon I had 4 people, from manager, security guy, house maid and another lady in my room, all looking at my laptop with face expression as they are doing PhD from nuclear science. 
I found that really.....special, as it was first time that I experienced something like that, but they were all trying so hard to figure out something.....

It did not take much to realize, that this IT support will not be really helpfull, so I sincerely thank them for their willingness and they slowly leave.
10 minutes after, manager arrived again, asking if he can try another time, but I told him that I will skip internet for tonight.....but he was willing for sure.

Otherwise, while check in you need to put deposit for the room, which is then returned with difference at check out. They do not accept any cards, except one Chinese, so have RMB rather.

For longer stay, thick walls would be annoying, as you literally hear everything through the walls. But when you are tired and need to catch a few hours of sleep, you do not really care.

To stay there again, maybe. But defenitely I will stop by and gave them one picture for souvenir.
Safe trip.

Special experience with multiple IT support

The Ouyang branch of the Home Inn was comfortable and spacious, especially for the price (much the same as all Home Inn branches around China). Although not in close proximity to a subway station (the nearest two are around 10-15 minutes walk away), the location is still good given that it is right near the shopping and restaurant street of Si Chuan Lu. A brisk half an hour walk will even take you to the Bund (although the route is rather circuitous).

As with other Home Inns I stayed in, staff were helpful and the rooms were nice and clean with basic facilities including bathroom and a television.
