We had a remarkable stay in this hotel whre everything was close to perfection. We highly recommend for your stay in Shrangrila. it is right in the center while very quiet. the rooms were very nicely decorated and the food was great.

We loved this place

Cozy and modern rooms, fast Wifi and good breakfast. Friendly staff and the location is hard to beat walking distance to Shangri-La oldtown. Also great views from our room. We'll definitely stay here again when back in Shangri-La!

Great hotel and location

My wife and I are 2 int’l teachers who were stuck traveling in China for the '21 summer and we stayed here 2 nights while traveling through Yunnan. The nights were quiet as not many people were out traveling in this area yet. We were greeted w/ ginger tea and told to drink lot of water at this high elevation before seeing our room. Our room had a comfortable double bed and amenities galore; robe, slippers, free water, soda and different teas. The bathroom was modern with more amenities and it passed my wife’s “excellent water pressure” test. The breakfast the next mornings was impressive as you could choose between a local or western breakfast. There was also a selection of pastries, breads and cereals too. The location was quiet w/ a great view of the hill-top temples. A simple 7 to 8 minute walk was needed to see the dancing in the square every night and shops. Highly recommended!

Greatly located warm service 

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Arro Khampa. It is perfectly located in the old town with a terrasse facing the temple, amazing view. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the rook beautifully decorated. Warmly recommend this hotel. 

Excellent hotel, great location !

Had a lovely stay at the Arro Khampa, conveniently located at the edge of the old town Dukezong. Decor is beautiful with high ceilings of exposed wood and Tibetan art and pieces throughout the hotel. Service is very friendly with ginger tea on arrival and hot yak milk delivered at 9pm to your door. Breakfast and transfer to airport included - good western and Chinese options. Slippers, robes and free drinks/fruit in room. Cute deck on top for drinks and star gazing. And the hotel dog Mantou is super cute - he will take 1 RMB from you to go buy himself a sausage. Only con is that we were in room A102 which can get quite loud, but understandable for the old style mansion. Highly recommend.

Unique hotel, great location and service

Arrokampa excels on both facility and service.
Arrokampa is a Tibetan-style mansion, perfectly located in the center of old town shangri-la. It has 18 guest rooms, which is neither too big to be quiet, nor too small for good service. The rooms and public spaces are spacious and decorated with good taste. The staff are more than friendly and responsive. We had two breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant. And the food are good, tasty and fresh.
And everyone loves the friendly dog, mantou. Remember to give him 1 Yuan and he will take it to the grocery store across the street to buy sausage.

Excellent stay

Excellent location in Dugezong Ancient Town. My room is facing directly to see the gui shan temple. Service is impeccable and personalized, wonderful memories in Shangri-La. The staff will deliver warm milk to your room every night. 

Best hotel in Shangri-La

It was an enjoyable 3 nights stay in Dec. Though the climate was piercingly cold, the room was warm with adjustable aircon temperature. The team was professional. We were handled with sincerity and courtesy with our queries attended to promptly. The hot yummy yak milk served in the night right up to the room was a daily delight, and it all added up to form a positive and memorable customer experience. The breakfast crew was also attentive. My heartfelt thanks go to the team manager Pei Hui who was very helpful and the crew Zhi Ping, Zhuo Ma, + 1 more Zhuo Ma, An Jie, La La and the rest of guys. Keep up the good work, folks. 希望你的团队继续保持这份热忱!

Indelibly warm hospitality! 

My husband and I spent 3 nights last week in Shangri-La at Arro Khampa. While it was freezing cold, the warmth of the staff, the stove in the reception area that had an almost constant supply of ginger tea, our beautiful spacious suite, and the delicious yak hot pot we had in the hotel made it a wonderful stay. We’re grateful to the staff who told us about the Gedong festival at the Sumtzeling Monastery. We were so lucky to be there to witness this special annual festival. It’s hard to call out any particular staff, they were all amazing. From Lobsang who helped with our reservation to the lovely reception ladies who lugged the heater to our room and luggage as well, to the restaurant ladies and the 2 gentlemen hotel staff. A call out to Mantou, the sweetest dog mascot of the hotel. We hope to visit you again soon. Thanks so much!
